Regardless of who the trade is for, it's pretty safe to assume that any deal BB makes this summer will include Kadri. Cap hit and age make him somewhat enticing, even if he hasn't lived up to potential. Kinda sucks too, he's one of the few picks we made that weren't rushed into the bigs

We didn't rush him in, but we sure as hell pressured the (frank) outta him.
The kid was hyped by everyone from day 1. Never have I seen so much hype placed on any Leaf pick. He will be a good player...as long as someone takes the microscope off him

Pretty much, yes. He's 26 years old and chances are this is as good as he gets. To me, he's got the tools to be a John Madden type player if he accepts a role on the 3rd line. But as a top-six center, he just doesn't have the talent. If he's lucky, at his absolute best, he might be a 2nd line center. But as of right now, he's getting carried.



The Flyers know how to draft. They picked up Carter 10th overall, Richards 21st overall and Giroux 22nd overall. They traded Carter and Richards for a 5th overall pick in Schenn, 7th overall pick in Voracek and an 8th overall pick in Couterier. They got some steals and then turned them into something even better. You don't see that with the Leafs because they gave up on a lot of their 1st round picks before they had a chance to develop. So now, they're playing catch-up and doing a bad job of it too.



Bozak is the #1 center by default because Burke and his predecessors made several key mistakes in drafting, developing and retaining draft picks. That's the price you pay for taking shortcuts.

If he wouldve fell to the Sens - a team that really wanted him - instead of BB's ego getting in the way - he would have been putting up 20+ goals a year the last couple of years instead of being mismanaged by BB et al.
