this might be a little off topic but after suffering a head injury and getting a concussion on Saturday i now have a whole new respect for what hockey players go thru.

I was a very UN-educated when it came to concussions but now that i have experienced one and still am, i understand why so many precautions are taken with NHL players... it is hard to imagine what it is like but i hope no one ever has to go thru this...

while i am not a professional athlete and do not have the pressure put on me to return to the line up ( work in my case) i sympathize with any player that has ever gone thru this...

if any fan who hasn't had one of these says it just a head ache they have no idea give the players a break they deserve it

I was thinking it might have some more insightful personalities....

Probably not - unless they give Therien a hockey show and let him select his guests.

OK, name 5 insightful personalities in Philly media that know hockey and would be willing to take the gig.

My mom warned me about a lot of things. Best advice, dig the graves deep.

Come to think of it, there are quite a few former players floating around still involved in the media.

Ok I'll steal Skippy's suggestion of Bundy, Clement, Tocchet, there's three. Morganti could be if he actually watches the games again. I don' t think Rob Ellis is too bad.
Our very own Bill Meltzer, hell throw Eklund in there too, there's 5

It could easily be done. Are the powers to be willing to set aside politics and put a good product out?

Bundy was in the pressbox at practice last Thursday. Can't repeat some of the stories he was telling, but they were hilarious. He should have his own hockey show for sure.

Considering you were concussed on Saturday.. a mere 48 hours ago.. and you are able to play around on hockeybuzz.. you got off relatively easy.

Which is amazing considering how bad you know it feels for you. Imagine what a guy like Pronger is going through. I have also suffered a range (4 diagnosed by the time i was 18) of concussions and know how terrible you can feel. I remember when I was laid out unconscious after colliding with my neighbor while playing tackle football. The top of his head hit my right in front of the ear. i couldnt sit up straight without getting dizzy and nauseous for a week. These guys are remarkable and in some cases.. idiots.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

It's been a real treat hearing the stories he CAN share on the radio. Laughed out loud at the Craig Berube threatening to beat up Brian Leetch one.

I saw ASF on the train Friday night coming home from the relays.. I let him know he is missed. Sounds like his job will be reassessed in July and he might be back on the beat after.
