All while our friends in Manhattan give Kreider all the productive minutes they can with veteran players. They had that kid on the ice the other night while Ottawa's goalie was pulled in a playoff game! Not to mention I think it was his 2nd or 3rd NHL game. Nino, get's thrown on the 4th line for an entire season to kill his confidence. WTF?!?!

You can't even compare Kreider and Nino. Kreider is older by two years, had a chance to properly develop for two years in college before being thrown into the deep end. Based on the small sample, Kreider is a better player. In 5 playoff games, Kreider has already passed Nino's "production" from the entire 55 games Nino played in the regular season. Jeez, even RDP had more points than Nino.

With all due respect, I don't think it was Nino's linemates which "held him back", although they certainly didn't help. Nino didn't produce because he is nowhere close to being ready to play in the NHL. Just because a kid is "big" doesn't mean he's ready to play in the NHL. Nino should have been in Portland this season and should be in Bridgeport next season.
