To D's points - yes x 1000.

A loss is bad enough but utterly embarrassing play is inexcusable. Disorganized, largely half-assed efforts with an abundance of bone-headed plays. Sit Legwand! Come on Trotz - gamble a bit - not much to lose at this point.

Kudos to the Coyotes for schooling the supposedly better team.

Regardless of what Jones says...Rads still is the points leader in this post-season. (EDIT: Just watched the Jones comments with video re Rads...WOW he is spot on. BUT...still points leader and +2)

Anyone notice our "stars" are also the worst +/-? 74:-4 12:-3 20:-3 10:-2 6:-2....True they play against the other teams top line...but arent they our top line as well?

Is Bullion play earning him a K for next year?

Over confidient team!!! Maybe the Wings were weaker than the Ducks '11 and the Preds were not ready for the Yotes. Tippet is beating BT by the Predator way!. Time shake things up.

Withs Rads & Leggy loafing, not helping out on the back check is like the Yotes being on a 5 on 3. Huge load to carry on the D and goalie with no back support. Yotes are doing a great job frustrating and confusing the preds.

I had visions of a 4 game sweep with us closing them out here on Friday night. Looks like the opposite is way too possible at this point.

Man, I never thought that. I thought this would be a really tough series for us, with the Preds winning in 6. Only in my mind the Preds won at least one of those games in Phoenix and didn't look like a junior squad when they played.

WEll maybe it wasnt a vision as much as a dream or wishful thinking.

I guess i blamed a lot of Yotes beating Hawks on Crawford. Not really sure that is what happened. They are rolling right now and when you couple that with the turnover machine that was the Preds last night it is ugly. Funny, Cloutier was female doging about boring defense-first hockey. Well that sure hasnt been the case.

I guess 7th Man going to have to bring it Wednesday and Friday night to get these guys back into the proper frame of mind

For those calling for Legwand to sit the bench...I honestly believe that our chance to win without him stepping up are nil. With him on the bench or in the box, we will not win this series. Sitting him is not a realistic option--he must step up.

For those calling out Radulov...he isn't Crosby or Ovechkin or Datsyuk or Gireaux...but neither is anyone else on the ice in this series. I can't stand watching the NBC/CNBC/NBCSN announcers and "analysts" because all that they have proven is that they are clueless. Rads is absolutely an upgrade for our team and is playing well above his current salary...He is drawing the attention of 2-4 players every time he touches the puck, and the team has taken advantage of that...which is why he is our leading scorer in the playoffs with 6 points in 7 games. No one else on the ice is getting that much defensive attention.

Fisher is playing frustrated, and Sergei in ineffective in the offensive zone. They are feeding off of each other negatively, and their line needs to be reworked.

Klein/Josi is not going to work. Keep Cube with Klein and pair Josi with Gill.

One shift at a time, one game at a time...play like you want it more than they do.

Not time to panic just yet. As the saying goes: the series doesn't really start until someone loses on home ice. Phoenix did what they were supposed to do; win at home. Now the Preds need to return the favor. If they win all their home games, they only have to win 1 in Phoenix, and they still have 2 more shots to do that.

I know its a long shot but I still feel like Nashville can take this series. BUT They MUST WIN THE NEXT TWO. Either way NSH is catching a lot of heat from the press and it is well deserved. I would have loved to hear Trotz excuses after last night, b/c he is clearly being out coached AGAIN.
We have the fire power, we have the defense and we have the goalie, but they dont have the will.

Thats just insane....Im not a fan of 11....but to think that we would rather have Smithson playing 1st line center is nuts. His 2 points in 11 playoff games (10-11) would not win the series this year. 5 games this year with FL netted 1 asst with -2.

Im not sure what the answer is but to shake up the lines. Wilson stays in + Halischuk + Tootoo (in his last games as a Predator) + Smith. I dont know....

I do know that on the back end - Hillen or Ellis are not upgraded options.

Poile gave all the tools to Trotzy this year.....

The answer is getting back to the Predator way hockey. I think the D men have pinched more in the last 7 games than most of the season. Lose the puck and the puck is back in the preds zone again. Can't beat the Yotes forcing chances you don't have. The Yotes are out working the Preds. It shall be interesting come game 3 & 4.

Legwand needs to stop being a liability. I'm tired of hearing people saying that Corsi shows he was one of the best guys on the ice when he clearly was not. He's playing like an absolute idiot, and if he continues to hurt the team rather than help him then I really wouldn't mind either a real demotion, not just a practice demotion, or having him sit. There's too much talent on this Preds team to play like this.

Legwand's seemingly blank expressions while on the ice can drive me up a wall when accompanied by bad play. Many times it's as though he doesn't care - no visible passion or noticeable desire to win. I don't know whether that's definitively true but it often seems that way. I've defended him at times but only when deserved. Hasn't been much of that lately.

Like most stats (which admittedly I do like) they can been an absolute joke if not taken in context with the whole picture. The supposedly fabled Corsi is no exception.

Did you see the dumb look on Legwand's face when he tossed the puck in front of Rinne? I guess I was reading too much into it but all I saw was a doofus expression

It's all about match-ups. Smitty is a decent two-way forward that performs moderately well on the dot. Insane....I think not. Sure he doesn't have the numbers, but the little things matter most in the playoffs.

Smitty is a defensive player and a faceoff guy. To say he has even average offensive skills is overrating him. Good player...but we have other guys that do what he does and actually contribute.

The Preds woes are clearly on the blueline with Josi and at times Klein. When the Preds learn to stop just throwing whoever in that 5/6 spot, this team will go deep. Until then...they will get torched by any teams with offensive talent. Clearly the rookie is not ready for this type of competition.

I've heard that he's dumb as a box of rocks, but I've never met the guy. He drives me nuts because he's capable of so much more. That makes three times he's closed his hand on the puck in the defensive zone. He's never been called for a penalty which is lucky. Twice he was in the crease.

Klein and Josi together is a disaster. The fact that Trotz let them back on the ice over and over again despite Phoenix continually scoring while they were present speaks a lot about the coaching staff's ability to adjust accordingly.

I don't know why Klein and Josi were ever paired together. It should be Klein/Bouillon and Gill/Josi.

But Goose has already matched Smithsons point total and had a better faceoff %.....we already have Smithson on the team (only better). I just dont see how the idea of Smithson over Legwand would be beneficial to the team.

And I CANT BELIEVE IM DEFENDING LEGGY - cant stand that guy......

BTW - I think the only numbers that matter is the final when the horn blows.....

Im constatnly amazed how this this town has a love affair with these marginal players. Whats going to happen when Tootoo leaves?
