So Brodeur just decided to move his stick away from his five-hole on his own?

From this video, yeah, pretty much.

Watch the replay. JVR never touches Brodeur's stick. Brodeur has his stick to the side on his very own.

Meh, I watched it again after the replay came up. On the first view, it seemed as if JvR made contact with his stick moving it, it went through the right side of Brodeur, where his stick wouldn't have been. I saw it differently on the first view, and it seemed like from the initial view JvR might have interfered with Brodeur's stick. It was minimal if it was, but to be honest, like I have said, that call is never going to be made whether or not JvR did it or not, but the question is should it be made if he did.....

JvR is standing ground outside the crease. Brodeur initiates contact (if you believe there is any) by coming out. No harm, No foul. Good goal.

The correct call was made on that play. Your a good kid. A solid addition to the thread. It's going to be a long series. Look forward to further discussions.

i never thought i'd say this, but man why is brodeur female doging. he has no leg to stand on, that was a clean goal and there was hardly any contact. on top of that it looked to me that brodeur moved into the space three letters was taking up. what a female dog as move by a guy whose normally a class act.

IF JvR made contact that impeded Brodeur's ability to make the stop, the goal shouldn't count.

He didn't. It's kind of like saying if my aunt had nuts she'd be my uncle. That if is a problem.

Huh? Brodeur has been embellishing and complaining for two decades. I don't fault him for it, because it works.

i just watched his post game interview. he made it a point to complain about the minimal (if any) contact by jvr.

I saw the quotes. Of course he did. What would you expect him to say? This is a 7 game series. It's gamesmanship. Campaigning to the get the next call his way. Same reason Coaches say things.

Thats only to get calls later in the series. Try to keep traffic out of the crease.

I'm loving how over powering our Power Play is. The Devils I believe had the first best PP and the Pens the 3rd best of the regular season. Sure doesn't look that way in the playoffs, which is very encouraging.

If JvR, Hartnell and Simmonds keep going to the net like they have to clock the goalie's vision, teams like New Jersey and New York don't stand a chance.
