I don't think I would go as far as saying they dominated the game. I think they carried the play.
- MJL

I would. They were by far the team with more time in the opponents end and had double the scoring chances after that first period. Brodeur made a lot of big saves in that game.

Briere centering Voracek and Jvr was a great line today.
Wellwood was all over the ice, very effective player for the Flyers.
2 pretty strong games in a row for Gusty, nice to see.
Read had a tough first shift and never recovered, I bet he will bounce back in game two.
Kimmo was taking some short shifts out there, he is a warrior but I worry about him.
Lavi's time out was followed by a Devil's goal, that was weird.
Kovalchuk is not very effective playing with through his injury.

Outshot them 30-11 too. They were definitely the better team.

Hopefully they'll carry the play over into Tuesday. I want to see a strong 60 minute effort.

It went to OT. And neither team had more then a 1 goal lead. If you dominate the game, it doesn't go to OT. If if Bryzgalov makes the save on the Sykora goal, it's still a one goal win. I didn't see any domination out there.

He's clearly not 100%. His skating is not good.

I have little doubt that the Flyers are by far the better team.

You can dominate a game and still never have more than a goal lead in a playoff game. Brodeur was fantastic in net today.

It was certainly VERY minimal.

Very minimal lost them the game, in that case, it isn't minimal.

Agreed, but it's still not a certain fact. It's certainly possible that he's just playing poorly.

Regardless, he remains a threat on the PP even if he is labored.

Meaning that there's no chance in hell that ever gets called, even if the rules were changed. That's my point.

Not in my opinion you can't. I know what domination looks like. And that wasn't it. They outplayed the Devils in the 2nd half of the game. But they did not dominate.

He's definitely injured, unless he just completely caved in, and I highly doubt the latter. Even when it looks like he tries to skate his ass off, he just isn't 100 percent at all.

The way the rule is interpreted for the most folks, yeah, but the way the rule is written could say otherwise....

Sure he's still a threat. But it's pretty evident there is something wrong with him. He lacks any explosiveness.

Well your opinion on dominating a game is different then mine. Cause im my eyes they owned the Devils from the second period on. Brodeur is the only reason the game was even close. The Flyers had more control and ice time spent in the opponents end of the ice and the scoring chances were not close after that first period. Bryzgalov made some nice saves in the first but he really didnt have to do much after that and even then he struggled by letting in a stoppable shot.

Again, if interpreted differently, the goal would still stand because the refs aren't going off a goal in OT of the playoffs due to MINIMAL contact with the goalie. I didn't even know JVR touched Brodeur until I saw the replay.
