I would have liked to hear Bryz say, he was angry at himself for that game going to OT
- KINGKENZO

I think I'd prefer him to just forget about it. Put it behind him (pun intended) and move forward. Goalies are weird, and Bryz may be the weirdest. They need short memories.

I think he was a little lucky on that one.

So, I am not anything close to being an optimist, but I have to say, I was surprised how the Flyers just dominated after the rust wore off. If the Devils don't step it up, I say Flyers in 5.

(hurriedly knocks wood)

- PT21

I just realized he made the move that started the tic tac toe Giroux goal, doesn't even get an assist for it hshaha

...for his entire career. You don't trade this guy for anything.
- roenick97

with JVR finding his legs, and rested it makes it even harder to match lines. now you have JVR, harts, and simmer rolling on dif lines. you have 3 guys to stick in front of the net on the PP. voracek plays a similiar game too without going to the front of the net. you can tell devils had trouble matching the 3rd and 4th lines

If the roles were reversed, you think Flyers fans would be complaining about JVR interfering with Brodeur, it seems like that's why his stick wasn't in his five-hole. Not making excuses, as Brodeur was pretty far out, but still.
- _Zippy_

I think it was a fair goal, and if Brodeur is in the white, you have to expect incidental contact. He had a chance to make the save.

probably the most relieved by this win is Bryz after that 3rd goal ...

and the 2nd most relieved has to be Simmonds for missing that open net.

- FlyerGuy

G certainly bailed out Simmonds, no goalie in the world would have stopped that shot.

Never at the new arena. Over at the Meadowlands I went to a few playoff games when they played the Flyers, you could almost sit anywhere you wanted in the upper bowl...Entire sections empty.

- MBFlyerfan

We'd likely be getting a suite. One of our brokers from NYC are huge hockey fans and have taken us to a playoff game the last two years. First game was game 6 against CHI Second game was the OT against BUF where Leighton came in. Thought it would be nice to meet them in the middle this time.

Yeah they got a real nice barn actually. It's relatively new and pretty state-of-the-art. There will be heaps of Flyers fans at the games in NJ.

You can take the NJT right to it. You have to walk through a series of connected buildings to get to it from the train but it's pretty easy. Not sure where you'd be coming from though. I make the trip there from Brooklyn often.

I credit DeBoer actually. On the road he was matching up his lines very well especially in the 1st period. Philadelphia is probably the hardest team to try and matchup against in the league.

I'd be coming from the Philly suburbs. We're debating whether to drive or take the train. Train may give us more time to sober up. Wouldn't want to get pulled over by Plind.

I went there in 08, and it is a nice rink but it seems to me that it situated in the hood.. wow, I thought it'd be in a nicer neightbourhood.

Haha yeah. Well which suburbs? I'd say drive to Trenton and park. Then take the NJT NEC up. It's pretty easy and inexpensive. Plus you can pre-game on the train ride up.

It's in Newark. Newark is hood but with a playoff game, the arena and the surrounding buildings there's plenty of people and police presence. Just don't try and hang out there after everyone's gone.

Have to say Lilja isn't doing too shabby.

He's trying to contribute in the offensive zone as well.

It's not a bad part of Newark. If you stray a few blocks, that's a different story, but your typical train commute and the route to walk to the game, or parking to the game is convenient. The streets you park on are well-lit, if they aren't filled with patrol cars to begin with.
