A lot more goes into it then that including trying to spark Elias and Zubrus who were offensively limited in the series as well as trying tio get Sykora and Ponikarovski going. These were lines that we used in the last five games of the season and they worked very well. It just gives us a more well rounded attack while preventing both Parise and Kovalchuk from potentially being shut down.

elias and zubrus are obvious targets for the flyers, but ponikarovski actually worries me maybe more than anyone. that guy always seems to collect points against them - even prior to playing with the devils.

They do. He's playing some great hockey. They have guys stepping up, too. Dustin Brown has been a pin in the ass for the Canucks and now the Blues.

He's really stickin' it to 'em.

LA has a great shot to go all the way with Quick in net.
- funmaster18

Will see what happens but I thought the Blues had some questionable calls against them.

Quick is fantastic.

Yeah he's great on the forecheck. And Quick may have the quickest legs/feet I've seen in a long time.

So glad the game is finally here. It feels like it's been weeks. I have to say, I'm loving being able to watch every playoff game on NBC. It really helps with the down time.

Flyers need to come out strong today. It's an afternoon game, which hopefully doesn't matter anymore after game 6 last series.

I really hope JVR can get himself going in this series. It was tough to work him in at that point in such a hectic series with the Pens. If he can start contributing, this team is going to be a force up front.

- funmaster18

i know jvr was a rags fan growing up, but he's a jersey boy, and something tells me he's going to play well this round against his home state squad. i hope so anyway.

I just think Quick alone can take them there. It's like the Rangers, they just need a 1 goal lead, 2 goal lead and Quick shuts the door.

I hope so. It's more of his conditioning I'm worried about. These playoffs have been extremely up tempo all the way around. It's tough to get back in, but hopefully that week off and fast paced practices he was able to get there. It's good for him to start a fresh series.

Won't be too bad if they can move on to the next round and continue the trek north or south.

JvR can give this team a boost if hes healthy enough. We've seen it before where he can dominate a game in the playoffs.

The three guys left would have really bad jet lag flying all over the place to work the remaining games.
