Dregger has family connections with Nonis and he's just trying to drive the value down for Luongo. I'd love to be on that phone call when Burke calls and offers Komaserik (sp) and some leaf plug, I mean prospect, for Luongo.
IMO Luongo's value will start at a solid prospect or first round pick, and a useful player. Depending on how many teams are interested, that could go up.

I have heard from too sawlid sources who I trust compleetly that Luonguo to the Leafs is all but done. One GM today told me that the holed up is which of 2 propsects on the AHL Morlies is going back to Vancoover. The deal won't be announced until the AHL playofs are over.
I am also waiting on a call back to confirm that Tampa Bay has told Vancoover to not do anything before calling them. Yzermen is trying to convince the owners that taking on another lifetime contract is a not a bad idea.
Jut as I was typeing this, a comepleetly new sorce texted me that a western conference team may be prepairing to make a last-minut bid.
Hold on fokes this is gonna be a wild ride for the next fyou Weekes!

Not only that, but Scheider has to decide on a qualifying offer or sign a contract, which he may well be reluctant to do if the Luongo thing drags on.
So, the idea that Gillis will let this drag on while he plays poker is probaby not going to happen.
