not enough corporate support, they need cities over 500K usually and hopefully close or over 1M
- Symba007

This city would never be able to get the required number of seats filled nightly to support an nhl team. The population just isn't here, the population of the whole province is less than a mil.

Would CFL work though? 9 homes games plus 2 pre season games and playoffs, 25K seats ?

Saw that. I don't get why these goalies come out when the puck is dumped in above the boards? They gotta know there is a good chance when it's on the glass it's coming off strange.

In order of who I'd like to see win the cup (teams left)

Preds
LA
STL
Phx
Caps
NYR
NJ

Flyers

Great scenario

LA wins the cup against the Flyers, Carter and Richards win it in Philly

The stadium is the problem. Seems like we keep getting close to building one and then the idiots on city counsel pull the plug. Up to about a month ago they were in the running for the Womens FIFA worlds then out of nowhere they changed thier minds on building the stadium.

Now that would be the greatest end I could hope for.
I'm going with
NYR vs Phil --NYR,
Nash vs LA --- LA

It's one of those things were no one wants to get blamed if it all goes to (frank) as far as local goverment is concerned.

That's exactly what the province is waiting on in my oppinion.
People forget that the Irvings are actually a New Burnswick family, although they certainly have a lot of holdings in this province.
