It's not McGill or Simon Fraser, but it's alright.

In our provincial election last week, the wild rose (extreme right wing) was leading the polls, as people wanted a change from the 40 year reign of PC" (ya "change" to them is Right Wing to extreme right wing )

Until their party members ruined it by saying poop like,

Global warming doesnt exist,
Abortion needs to be revisisted
And Gays are the devil

I don't care if people believe that, but in this day and age you are never going to get voted in by bringing any of that up.

Worry about roads, healthcare, old age security, and balancing a budget. Keep religion and personal feelings out of it.

It's not really a dead horse pete, it's a reality we are in right now. It's a debate we're having live.

And even if you disagree with me, talking about it and bringing something new to the conversation might make someone change sides. It's important to discuss and debate about things in life, even if we differ opinion. Why would we have a parliament then if we couldn't debate things?

It's just different values my friend.

I'm alright with the raise, but not a 75% for 5 year, or 87% in 7 years either, that's too much to swallow, you never see that raise anywhere else. Yes we should be paying more, but they should also look in the mirror and manage their budgets more efficiently. Instead of getting that suite, get a normal room. Do you really need a 1st class flight for a rector? Oh yeah you wanna look big... Oh.
