Dont mind at all that Giroux got snubbed for the Hart. Not that he needs any more motivation but it just adds an extra chip onto his shoulder. So when he hoists the Cup and the Conn Smythe he can grin and say, "Have fun with the Hart Malkin"

Giroux definitely should have been there. I know Stamkos got 60, but its not like that got his team anywhere.
- rmdevil313

+1, there's a solid argument for Stamkos' nomination, but in the end I feel like it should've been he and not Giroux who was left hanging.

After the Gm of the year, Rookie of the year, and Hart trophy snubs, Lavy or one of the coaches needs to put a poster up in the Locker room of the Cup and underneath should be written, "Only Trophy that matters."

I think his numbers are skewed because of the wide open hockey and how much fire power the Pens have. I expect him to get back on track and his chip (in foot) has had another full week to recover.

Hart Trophy finalists are Evgeni Malkin, Steven Stamkos and Henrik Lundqvist.

Pissed @ No Giroux? And who would you take out for him?

- mrhattrick27

Even when the Devils suck playing the Flyers brings out their best game.
And they don't suck this year.

I agree with Bill, they have a bunch of guys who torture the Flyers, Elias being chief culprit.

And Henrique has a good shot and quick release, not quite Stamkos but pretty damn good.

Clarkson v Hartnell should be very entertaining.
I am looking forward to this match up.

Sunday Sunday Sunday.

Jagr, Schenn, and Simmonds are all -3.
- MJL

Not as relevant with the run and gun series with the Pen's. 26 goals against, with higher total goals you'd expect a higher spread in +/-. Schenn and Simmond accumulated -4/-3 all in one game (3-10). If the games were close (like most in the NJ-FLA series), 1 goal games - then - Yes, they sux too. (Schenn plays with Briere - he's generally the weak link - not Schenn)

Threeormore didnt even play Game 6. Clemmensen was in net which is even worse imo.

There's zero argument for Stamkos' nomination. His team missed the playoffs. Without him, they still miss the playoffs. Who cares how many goals he scored, he wasn't that valuable because his team did jackpoop.

Even bigger snub than Giroux is Quick. As valuable as Lundqvist was to the Rangers, he won 62% of his games. Marty Biron won 60% and played a quarter of the games.

Without Giroux, the Flyers are likely out of the mix. Without Quick, the Kings are picking in the top 3 at the draft.

Once the playoffs start, if a player is worried about a regular season trophy, they are in trouble. Giroux is on a mission right now. Especially at the end of game 6 where he just looked in his post game interview that he wanted to go suit up for the next round already. Loved when he turned to the crowd and started pumping his arms to get them going. It's like overnight he transformed from the teams best player to their best player AND leader.

Are you kidding me? Have you watched all the games?
- Philly1980

Not all but I watched the game yesterday and Rangers played exactly the same way they played all season. Able to generate forecheck pressure with 3 forwards hounding the D (D men rarely pinch unless they see breakdowns). A shotblocking machine. Winning most puck battles near the boards. And horrible on the pp.

Malkin only got the nod over Giroux because Malkin threw a hard check on Crosby, then Giroux did...

Fair enough. I was kind of thinking, "If Stamkos is going to get an award on nothing but goals scored, shouldn't it be the award for goal scoring?"

Quick is definitely a huge snub. Without him, the Kings are already in midseason form at the country club. Oh well, not the hardware I want anyways.
