Brodeur is capable of being lights out. He alone can beat the Flyers.
- MJL

I am not worried about Brodeur, i doubt he can steal a series anymore. The devils might play a very sound team D and beat the flyers but Brodeur standing on his head like he did in his prime. I am not seeing that happen.

The Devils lost a game they were leading by 3 goals to the Cats in round 1.

The Devils last night surrendered a 2 goal lead in the 3rd period.

This Devils team doesn't shut the door like years past.

I am not saying I want the Flyers to play from behind but I have seen enough of the Flyers this season to know that being down a goal or 2 wont mean the end of the game.

I agree and I also think that they've had a pretty good answer for Brodeur in the last couple years.. I really don't think the Devils would have beaten Pitt.

That should be a penalty or the goal should be disallowed IMO. I dont know how the game went from not even a skate in the paint to that. Plays like that should be penalties. And goalies who are outside the crease for any reason should be treated just like any other player IMO, whether their playing the puck behind the net or just way out challenging they should be fair game. This would eliminate lots of gray area. If the goalie's skates are in the crease....any bodily contact by a player or stick pushing (Neil) should be a penalty.
- Just5

So if a Goalie is out challenging and cutting down the angle, you can just run him over?

You should be worried about him. I'm worried about every aspect of the Devils. They are fully capable of knocking the Flyers out.

Fricken Phillies. 1st and 3rd, nobody out. They get zero runs.

It was a major problem in the beginning of the year and they fixed it. It's just that we need to continue to play an uptempo game and we can't trap like we used to, unfortunately.

Not a series. But probably at least one game, maybe two.

I think Roo should have been higher on this list. 14 pts in one series.. I mean, he's already almost half way to Briere's playoff point totals in 2010 and it's only been one series.

However, they should look at points based on the amount of goals the team scored. Like Giroux has 14 points on how many goals by the Flyers? It's hard to put Giroux over goalies that literally stole entire series, too.

Goalies should always be higher in a list like this imo.. however, Giroux brought the noise in round one. 6 pts in one game.. came up big in a must win game 6...

But would you put him ahead of Lundqvist, Quick, or Rinne. Holtby and Smith deserve their positions, but I don't think you can put Giroux ahead of those three goalies....

Brodeur let up a lot of weak goals last series . The flyers have three solid lines that can lite up a goalie on any given night. Our defense will be tight but offensively were the deepest offensive team left.

I'd say third.. Did Lundqvist steal the series? Rinne played great, and so did Quick but if you watched the series vs Pitt.. Giroux played very well.. I'd say third..

Bryzgalov let in some weak goals also last Series. That Series is over. We'll see if the defense will be tight. The Devils have some dangerous offensive players and plenty of firepower.

Yeah but were not playing Pittsburgh. Also don't want to make excuses for the guy but he was playing hurt and Pittsburgh was exploiting his lateral movements. He shut the door when he had too and also kept them in games. I don't blame bryz for the high scoring fiasco I blame two teams that loved the run and gun style

i think it was interference-ish and should be called just like it would have in the regular season. having said that, Thomas locks his arm around Knuble and his attention is drawn to preventing Knuble from making a play. If he didn't do that, he can make the save on Ward. I blame Thomas. Because I don't like him or anyone on the Bruins. Plus, maybe it's the Caps getting some luck after what happened to them on the Thoresen/Kapanen goal.
- wilsonecho91

they did get hosed on that play, didn't they?

i can live with the non-call, and the fact that it put the B's out makes it a lot easier to live with. (frank) 'em.

Why not it happened to miller.... Hate when goalies come out 30 feet to make a save and the defense are at his side. They should be fair game outside the crease

The Devils can't make Bryzgalov side to side? They have plenty of offensive weapons.

Yeah, I'm scared, sitting in my rec room watching the games on the big screen. I know what the deal is and what the Flyers are faced with. I think they're the better team also. That doesn't mean they're going to win the Series.
