I cannot believe we are finally going to get Devils hockey in May. I ran around my basement like Brick from Anchorman yelling random stuff. And I am ashamed to admit, I hugged my lamp and at that point had no choice to say I love lamp. The Devils make me insane. But its a good insane. - Kovaltron

'Considering that the Panthers went 15 years without a playoff win, going 5 seems a bit petty, but we had sooooooooo many poopty moments in that time span. |

We are going to need a better Volchenkov. He was our worst player in the series, and got burned a lot by speedy wingers. We need something out of that 2nd line...Sykora is doing nothing. Elias only had 2 goals the entire series, need more from him too. I'd put either Clarkson or Poni on that line in place of Sykora. Leave the 4th line tho they are great together. Best 4th line we have had in a while. We will need to contain Giroux, he is one hell of a player. - zach parise9
I really don't want to touch the lines right now, maybe once JJ comes back. Our third line and first line finally looked at least on the same page by the end of the series. Would hate to have to start over against Philly. I think our 2nd line was just too busy dealing with the first line, and on top of that, none of the three are really that fast, so, it was difficult for them to create space. |

I don't expect to see JJ back unless we make into the latter rounds. The top line played a lot against the top line of Florida. The 2nd line just did nothing after the first 2 games. Lucky for us the 4th line was great and made up for there lack of scoring. I could see them staying together and playing against the Giroux line though. |

devils are in a good situation..
zidlicky was a great TD move. half your team are upcoming FA's and this offseason has a lot of talented free agents .. even if parise is a goner, you can grab a superstar like semin who is having a red hot playoffs! and add guys like doan, huselias, jokinen, hudler....

Congrats to the Devils on a well fought nail biting series. While the outcome was disappointing personally for me, the hockey was very exciting to witness and experience.
A tough defeat in a very balanced series that in the end could have gone either way will leave an impression on our Panthers that they can leverage next year. Best of all they earned league wide respect that hopefully will elevate our team from being a mere afterthought in most fans minds, to a team that plays exciting hockey.
I want to thank all the classy Devils fans for engaging in conversation, debates and observations with us Panther fans. It was fun. GL next series against the Flyers! |
