Only one problem with that, Burke cant take another risk. You guys need to make the playoff no matter what,i love hating you in the playoff, now its not even funny anymore. We are not talking about some random franchise here, original six.
- Conflict076

Try being a fan of that team.

Honestly, in these playoffs I've found myself less interested then recent years. I'm just sick of picking a random team to cheer for because the Leafs are out. I'm sick of hearing about other teams dramatics during the playoffs...as dumb as many Toronto fans can be, they deserve to be in the playoffs and enjoy the drama that comes along with it.

Hockey, the NHL and the playoffs are just better when Toronto/Montreal is in there.

I get to the point, no BS. Don't care about Lolongo to discuss it.

You dont think Toronto needs a legit starter of Luongos ilk, at the potential price he can be obtained for given the circumstance?

I really don't care, there are so many waste of space contracts that need to be addressed first.

Ok, but Luongo aside, would you not say adding a goaltender is atop the priority list?

I find it hard to believe both teams agree on his price.

If the goal is to make the playoffs yes...if the goal is to go for Broke on another Draft pick... Go with Reimer/Scrivens

we could end up with a decent showing from that duo...or play for another lottery pick... I am OK with either senario as long as I know whats happening.

But if he goes with Legit #1 and thats not working by the deadline...please this time sell any and all assets for picks

A goaltender imp but until some of the mess(bad contracts) is cleaned up and the leafs find a top line center/ D- help and toughness i'm not convinced Jesus could stop the puck in a leaf net..

Trading for Lou and that nightmare of a contract could backfire in a hurry...

Some positives for me, about these "waste of space contracts"....

Komisarek - two years left, could garner interest if plays half decent(hard I know). His salary drops to 3.5 for these last two years, could look better.

Connolly - one year left, actually played more games last year than I thought he would and could still be fine as a 3rd line center for one more year. No biggie.

Lombardi - although hell never be moved, he also only has one year left.

Armstrong - also one year left, but I honestly think he can regain his form is he can stay healthy and has a good summer. Playing under Carlyle, whos system could be more effective for Armstrong, could also help.

So all things considered...we dont have any long contracts that are worrisome for me.
