So if the Leafs trade Schenn & #5 for #1, plus they don't bring back the Monster, they should be able to carry Luongos cap hit.

PS I don't get how 33 year old players (Luongo and Thornton) can be called old, yes they would be the oldest on this team but still have lots of hockey left in them.

I'm really on the fence about trading for Luongo. Maybe consider trading for Tim Thomas and have him and Reimer as a 50/50 tandem next season?

Thomas suprisingly looked very happy after losing the game last night. I think he's done in Boston.

He's 7. We started out with a indoor/safety ball, the rubber cored ones. But He's catching great now, so we went to the actual ones. He threw one over my head and I waddled over and got it and pretended I was throwing out a runner at home. Hit him in the shin and left a pretty bad ass seam mark on him.

So San Jose deals the 3rd best playmaking center in the league, arguably the best over the past five years, for spare parts?

Connolly or Komisarek alone would get us near that...fine and dandy indeed.

Lombardi, Komisarek and Armstrong all have undesirable contracts. Hopefully we can find a cap floor team (if that's still part of the CBA) and dump them.

As for goalies, Reimer and Scrivens. Tank it.

(frank) off, crap face. Seriously though, Komisarek is better than Gardiner. So Mac, Komi and Franson would be better. Komi brings some much needed toughness, Gardiner is too soft and can't skate.
