No thanks, rather keep Kadri and Schenn and get a goalie with less term...the only way we should obtain Lou is without giving up our existing youth IMO

Vokouns done. Couldn't do squat for Washington cause he pouted all year cause his agent's a bonehead, and now he has Turco written all over him. It's THomas, Luongo, or another year outta the playoffs....you need an ELITE level goalie cause your team really hasn't got all that much talent...PERIOD...

mostly because I stopped reading after the first couple words...

After much thought (by much I mean very little) one reason BB should have concern over Luongo is if under the new CBA the league alters the rules and makes these contracts stick on the cap regardless of retirement. I doubt they'd do that but fak that would suck if they did.

Truth is that Gillis is no longer in lover with the sexy Italian he just signed a very long pre-nuptial agreement with. Don't even pretend that he is in the drivers seat in any trade talk.

Also, don't fool, yourself into thinking you can move him to TB for anything worthwhile. Yzerman doesn't care for long term deals any more than Burke does. If Stamkos gets a 5 year deal, why would he want to take on Lui forever.

Off topic; D'amigo, along with other Marlie notables, should be considered for viable trading pieces. If you think about it, quite a few of those guys could settle in very nicely as regular 3rd liners (some with higher aspirations than others..). If not, then very least as utility players to bolster an already stacked lineup.

OR

We could be patient, for once. Personally I think at least 4 regular Marlies could make the team - and make an impact in the process.
