I think Canucks are taking a risk here because who's to say that Schneider doesn't become Toskala 2.0. - gravyface
I'd finally consider religion.

I dont think i would want him anyhow ,he is just playing hockey now just to get paid .He has lost his fire - top shelf 15
Well fine then....if Vinny cant provide any value to the Nucks and dosnt want to leave the sunshine and golf courses....then Luongo is coming to Toronto.
Thanks guys. |

More important than signing Suter, Weber, or a #1 goalie..
1 of Connolly Lombardi moved out..
1 of Armstrong Komi moved out..
Then we can worry about new signings
Oh, and resign Crabb - mfreedman
Komi...I'm ok with him being the last "bad" contract moved out. I have a feeling he will fair much better under Carlyle. He played well when Carlyle came on board and I'd like to see what he can do when he's coached in a n actual system and not "skate as fast as you can...that's our system" like Wilson did. |

I dont see it ,the leafs will be better next season and their goals against will come down .They have the right system, coach and blueline personal to make this happen. The major changes will happen up front,by the swapping out of some of the skill for more solid grittier two way forwards |

5 Stages of Any Leafs Trade for a Leaf fan:
1) Joy: He want's to play here!?? YEEESSS!!!!!!
2) Cockiness: Of course he wants to play for the Leafs, who wouldn't?
3) Ignorance: Pfft, we don't need to offer thaaat much to get him, all it would take is Komisarek and a 6th
4) Fear: What if he stops playing at the same level, what do we do then!??
5) Denial: He's doing ok... It was only a 10 year contract, so its almost up, we're still good.
5 Stages of Any Leafs Trade for every other fan:
1) Denial: No chance they got him for that little, something must be wrong
2) Fear: poop... Did they actually only give up that little to get the guy?
3) Ignorance: I'm sure Brett Lebda will have a comeback year and Franson will poop the bed... Stupid trade
4) Cockiness: HAHAHAA, I KNEW he was poop, Stupidest trade of the decade!
5) Joy: Ahhhhh, Toronto misses the playoffs again... Everything is as it should be

Probably makes the most sense, given he is the strongest of the "weakest links". Armstrong is a wet towel. Connolly will likely be traded first - I think someone may find him useful on the third line (maybe SJ or NJ?). Either way I see him as the most trade-able considering his contract is done after the '12-'13 season. If we're lucky Burke will find a way to rid us of Armstrong, but I doubt it. Lombo is still useful as a utility player. |

I think so too, but then again we need to make room for Blacker and Franson, so someone has to go.. I'd prefer Phaneuf, but I'll settle with Komi if we must. |

Phaneuf isn't getting traded. I can see Franson getting moved, which would be horrid 'cause I think he's an excellent player - but his trade value would fetch much more than what we had to hand over to obtain him. In a package? Maybe for a west coast goalie?

Then have fun with Reimer next year...
Going to be an interesting summer for sure for the Leafs. They can either stick to the rebuild or blow their load on a bunch of vets... But the status quo can't be the plan for next year. - riceroni

So, I was looking at a few Pekka Rinne photo's, and in quite a few, he's holding his glove like Scrivens does.
Maybe it's not as uncommon and most people think |

I'm guessing that in NAS all they care about is that he makes the saves, not how he looks when he does..
If the latter was important Hasek wouldn't have been given a shot in the NHL... Leaf fans need to stop overanalyzing these things |
