Vinny won't waive. He already has his ring.

The thing is luongo Will get you guys to the playoffs, how he does there I dunno? With draft picks nothings guaranteed, same with guys under 23-24...you don't know what you're getting. Komisarek? Schenn? We have edler who is supposed to be good but is slow and coughs up the puck...so that would be a lateral move. MacArthur, bozak? MacArthur is about the same as booth...kes as of late = bozak...kes when playing good > bozak. Connolly should be good but often plays about as well as Raymond ... Again lateral moves. Our teams are so similar that I don't see how you could help us, different players...same result. Luongo is a great goalie but his time is done here. I know we won't rob teams to give him up but I expect that we'll get something half decent.

who gives a (frank) where luongo would take us, that isn't what's dictating his value right now. What is dictating his value is that list that's been made public, that Gillis should be getting shortly.

Gillis is gonna get that list, sit down with a 26er of whiskey, and hit up the phones!!!

What I am personally pissed off at is the fact that Burke kept Wilson so long.
However, what I do not fault him for is for catering the team to Wilson's style. A GM needs to give the coach the best ability to win games, and that is by tailoring the players to his style.

I feel that this is the biggest reason that Burke went with Carlyle over Eakins when he had the choice.

I think he was sick of the fact that he disagreed with his coach on how to play the game and he wanted someone in that had the same view as him, thus Carllyle.

I also thinkt hat now that he has a coach who supports what he does, we are going to see an absolute poopstorm of changes in the roster this offseason.. It scares me a little, but also makes me happy. I think we're going to be very entertained for the next several months

I'm hoping Burke goes after Clutterbuck...I like that kid and he'd be the closest thing we could get to a Lucic...but still not Lucic. Not sure what he'd cost in a trade though.

He's not gambling on them ...he's stuck with then.
- noename09

When his job is on the line, he won't be stuck with them. You move them for anything or nothing. Future considerations, 7th rounders, re-entry waivers. Doesn't matter how.

I think Canucks are taking a risk here because who's to say that Schneider doesn't become Toskala 2.0.

He would be a great fit in Toronto,i think the leafs have the right coach, and the the right blueline in place to play that physical shutdown style of game .Just need to get bigger and more defensively aware up front

I just don't see a deal here.

Kipper and Maclean are 100% right about this. Gillis will not make a soft deal, and Burke is not giving up significant stuff for a conract he hates.

This is going to drag on, for quite a while. It is going to be a big poker game.

In the end, it will be Tampa who trades for him, and Gillis will not get the return he wants. Yzerman will wait him out.

- GoneFullRetard

I agree with this. It will most likely end up being Tampa's 10th overall pick and something else not too significant. I can then see Vancouver dealing that 10th pick at the draft for something to help them now.

Meh...Not too concerned abot those two. Good players, too expensive given the current state of the Leafs. You add those kind of guys when you're ready for them to become an added weapon.

TSN: This jsut anounced... The Sens have acquired Weber from the Preds who decided that Suter was more important to their future... Parise has decided to sign as he has always dreamed of playing next to Spezza on the top line, even though they have no affiliation whatsoever

** Wakes Up **

Top Shelf: poop... just a dream

TSN: This just in.. The Sens have acquired Connolly and Armstrong from the Leafs for a 3rd rounder

More important than signing Suter, Weber, or a #1 goalie..

1 of Connolly Lombardi moved out..
1 of Armstrong Komi moved out..

Then we can worry about new signings

Oh, and resign Crabb
