Who the hell is Quinn? Did you mean Quick? Hes on his first contract following a rookie contract. Miller was a 2.6 on his first contract. You can bet the house that Quick is going to get paid after next year when he hits UFA.

Smith was 2.2M the prior two years. His numbers? 3.09 + .900 and 2.89 + .800. This was his first solid year as a pro. He took a paycut and wasnt even projected to be a full time starter in PHO. Hes playing in front of a very solid defensive team as well. Not a single person can even say they knew Smith was going to play this solid.

Holtby is on a rookie contract. Its not even fair to compare considering thats capped at 975K without including potential bonuses.

Halak/Elliot... they both shared career years with that team in front of them. Top defensive team in the NHL. Gave up the least amount of shots per game. I dont think Elliot wouldve been half as good as he was playing for the worst 5 teams in the league. I think Halak has been solid since that postseason with MTL, I'll give you that one considering.

Again untill Quick is making 6+ mil per he's making 1.8. So LA isn't paying top money for top goaltending.
