Same here...my owner just reminded me today that she wants me working every friday and saturday night...but I sure as hell am not missing anymore playoff games...had to miss the first one this year (first one I've missed EVER) because of a wine tasting function and I'll be damned if that's going to happen again.

I still like our chances. We split the series with the desert dogs before we made all of our acquisitions and started gelling with all these guys. God forbid, but if we lose this series, its because we beat ourselves and let the Yotes capitalize on mistakes.

That being said, I still see this being a gritty, physical matchup. Toots may see some more ice time in this one. I could be wrong, but we may need him out there to match some of their physicality and wear them down. He just needs to keep his wits about him and let them get pissed and draw stupid penalties.

Just a thought...we played against Phoenix's back-up goalie in 3/4 games this year...Mike Smith's only start was the 5-4 shootout win by the Preds. 3.6 GAA and .89 save %.

The Yotes rolled their back up and beat the Preds 2-1. No Jon Blum or Jerred Smithson this go around so things should be better.

I see Erat finally getting into a groove and dragging Carrie's biatch with him in the process. I think our top 2 lines will get hot this go around...

listened to the interview with Legwand on 104.5 yesterday morning and he had some interesting stuff. Best interview I've heard with him actually. Anyway, his comments on Smith's style , basically that he sits back in the crease far more than someone like Howard who came out and challenged more, makes me think that Hornqvist may be more effective this series if he can establish position in the blue ice more often.

Every acquisition minus Radulov was completed before the 5-4 SO win. A Kostitsyn got the SO winner in that one. But, yes, the chemistry is something brand new.
