I've heard the opposite, depending on how the rest of his playoffs go.

Rask is their goalie of the future, I would assume. (Correct me if I'm wrong).

(Insert Whitehouse joke).

- Mattjd123

They could get a ransom for Thomas though for sure. The guy is a beast... But, I still don't see him going anywhere. The Bruins only won the cup because of him, hard pill to swallow if you trade him a couple years later....

There are about 10 teams looking for a top notch goalie this season. There are about 7 decent goalies available .Sellers are in the driver seat.
- VANTEL

While some of that is true, his contract cannot be ignored. Unloading that contract will come at a price, because even though 10 teams may be interested, they will all want to exchange their own awful contracts to take on the risk of having this guy around for perhaps years after his best seasons are done.

Teams that aren't interested in Lu:
Anaheim: Hiller.
Boston: Thomas+Rask
Buffalo: Miller+Enroth
Calgary: Kipper
Dallas: Lehtonen
L.A: Quick+Bernier
Minnesota: They have about 3 tenders right now.
Montreal: Price
Nashville: Rinne
Rangers: Lundqvist
Ottawa: Anderson+Bishop+the kid
Phoenix: Smith
Pittsburgh: MAF
St. Louis: Halak+Elliott (lol aka Hitchcock)
Washington: They tried the vet route and it failed, I think they let the kids develop this time.
Winnipeg: Pavelec

Team that will kick the tires but not really be interested:
Carolina: They should because Ward is over-rated imo, but they won't.
Chicago: Again, they should but history will prevent them from getting in on this. They will go the cheap route and take a chance on one of the young guys with elite potential.
Colorado: Varlamov had a decent year. They'll take a chance he can repeat.
Detroit: Another example of a team that should but won't. They've made invredibly average goaltenders look average for years, but what happens when Lidstrom isn't there?
Florida: They have patch work until the kid is ready, I don't think they make a real offer.
Islanders: Who knows, this organization is so clueless.
Philadelphia: Bryz needs to figure this out, but how bad will he be thrown under the bus once Philly gets taken out because of him?

Teams that will make serious offers:
Columbus: Is Vancouver willing to deal more assets to land Nash?
Edmonton: Only kid I'm willing to trade if I'm GM here is Paarjarvi and even that is questionable. Division rivals makes it tough though.
New Jersey: This is an interesting option. What would Vancouver want back? Would Lamoriello really tell Bordeur to retire?
San Jose: They have some star power on their team and if Wilson is still in place, he'll once again be looking to make a splash.
Tampa Bay: What do they really have to offer though?
Toronto: Same as Tampa.

Not fair to single out Leafs fans that way.

See also Sam "my-stats-are-worse-than-Bozak's" Gagner.

Gagner career plus/minus -42, Bozak career plus/minus -41

There it is.

Ok maybe one of them has played half the games to reach the -41 but still

Bozak WINS!!!!

Lupuls value is not that high... basically he is a one year wonder... all the years inbetween basically speak for themselves... No one will over pay for a vet that clicked one year in 6 and got injured everywhere inbetween

Couple cup winners in there..... Cujo played 60 playoff games in 4 years with the Leafs, Luongo played 61 in 6. Yup, no one better.

also, we only riot after losing in game seven of the finals.

Look how good we were when we lost in 4 straight to the Islanders.

Franzen's had injury various injury problems. Even so he scored more points in the same amount of games as Kessler this year and his cap hit is a million less a year than Kessler. Not to mention he's won a cup.
- noffsin6

Who's that?

And who mentioned Kesler.

My question stands. Belfour didn't win anything while he was with the Leafs. Three good seasons late in his career makes him a Leafs great ? That's silly.
