this response points to you not being married

or not happily married

- senstroll

I am happily married in fact. I am happy and so is she. A big reason she is not looking to date other guys.

Not sure why you would think having your wife date other guys would lead to a happy marriage. Right up there with Ek for dumb things to say.

In my opinion it would be a mistake trading Luongo instead of Schneider. This is a guy that won 15 playoff games last year, and they would trade him instead of the guy that has 1 playoff victory and is 0-11 in O.T. playoff games in his professional career (NHL & AHL)? Also add to the fact that Schneider was 27-7 against non-playoff teams in 2 seasons, but only 10-7-3 against playoff teams.
Also add to the fact that they pretty much killed Luongo's market value by having him sit on the bench the last 3 games of the series. Luongo was not the problem this series, it was Kesler, Burrows, Edler, Raymond, Higgins, Lapierre, Bieksa, & Booth. All no shows. A couple of those 8 is who they should be looking to move.

- scootty

Disagree. Schneider played against elite teams this year and won. He keeps his team in every game. Gives them a chance to win. His playoff record if just coincidence. In Manitoba his team sucked and it was pretty much him taking them on his back. This year's playoffs he was the best player on the ice.

Calgary would be foolish to trade Kipper...they don't have a good enough goalie to fill his role for 60 games...they'd have to sign a UFA and/or include a goalie coming the other way.....IMO Iggy will be traded before Kipper...and Thomas will ride out his contract till the end, or at least the TD before...he's earned it
- JIMI-JAMES

Thomas only has 1 more year left on the deal.. He won't be traded... He has for sure earned his place in Boston...

Sorta like Smyth.

Or Hemsky

Or Horcoff

As an Oiler fan, you would know all about players sucking, and wanting to run them outta town.

- IronMaidnick

No one wanted Smyth gone. Just reduced to a different role. He was. Good deal.
Most of us are satisfied with Hemmers short term extension.
Horcoff is horribly overpaid, so he's here to stay. We've accepted him for what he is at this point.

Lu has a ton of trade value and he's going to have a few options. The Devils makes sense as they need an elite goalie and they play a defensily sound game. He'd have a chance to win there and it's an easier market to play in.

Lu is in the drivers seat IMO with his NMC and there are several teams who'd love to have him.

I've heard the opposite, depending on how the rest of his playoffs go.

Rask is their goalie of the future, I would assume. (Correct me if I'm wrong).

(Insert Whitehouse joke).

An exagrration perhaps, but a lot of truth. Leafs fans have a habit of overrating a player and then viciously turning on him when he doesn't meet them. Lupul had a great year, but not trading him for a genuine #1 when that weakness is what deep sixed your playoff chances is not thinking clearly.

I think you're right.

Bernier has to get moved this time around

- bruinsbeer69

Don't see Bernier getting moved until Quick is locked up long term, which can't be done until July 1st.

You're attitude is worse than Cancuk fans pal.

Enjoy your cup. Get over your complex with the Canucks.

- IronMaidnick

Maybe if you made the playoff you'd understand the animosity?

and we don't riot, so we're far from worse than "Cancuk"'s fans......pal.

Meet Johan Franzen.
- Mattjd123

Franzen's had injury various injury problems. Even so he scored more points in the same amount of games as Kessler this year and his cap hit is a million less a year than Kessler. Not to mention he's won a cup.

Not fair to single out Leafs fans that way.

Question for you. How far back in Leafs history do you have to go to find a better goalie than Luongo ? I can't think of anyone.

Would be a pretty sick line, but Kessel is not going anywhere (until he is UFA )

Seriously, Lupul's value will never be higher... trade him and get your #1 goalie for the next 7-10 years....

Then pick Galychuk (no idea how to spell it)...

- riceroni

Lupuls value is not that high... basically he is a one year wonder... all the years inbetween basically speak for themselves... No one will over pay for a vet that clicked one year in 6 and got injured everywhere inbetween

No way in hell the Wings are going to trade for Luango. If he was a free agent and wanted to sign for a reduced price they might take a flyer on him, but they would never be stupid enough to take that contract.
- noffsin6

Detroit has got other areas to retool... they will have a huge gap on d.... and they will not be able to sign players at (frank)ing discounts anymore as Babcock stated on exit there are alot of holes to fill... the dynasty and getting players for nothing are over...
