I still struggle to bring myself to wanting to face Lundy.

I loved seeing how upset he got when the Senators scored the second goal...

Grossmann is out skating just before main group comes out. He's wearing green (Dmen usually in black) so not sure if it's still no-contact.

I think it's most likely a torn labrum (very common for goalies).

niitty's probably got a few extra ones lying around that he could borrow.

Interesting. He still has time to rest up. If Grossmann was having concussion symptoms why would he be allowed to skate? Testing how much he can handle?

I am not saying they are weak, but a formidable team can be much weaker in the playoffs with the tighter defense that is played. Look at it this way, you shut down Giroux-Jagr-Hartnell, great. What about Schenn, Coots, Briere, Simmonds, Voracek, etc? On the Rangers, with Callahan-Gaborik-Richards out of the picture, who is left? Rupp? Prust? Stepan? Anisimov? Fedotenko? These guys aren't getting it done. My point is, I feel a lot of depth is going to go a long way with the tight checking that you see in the playoffs. Rangers are barely handling it with Ottawa. If Ottawa had the depth the Flyers have, I believe this series would be over.
- Shephardbd

the problem here is that the rangers have the d and the g to be in a very low scoring affair until late in the game and the 2nd cast of characters you mentioned are EXACTLY who end up scoring the winning goal in the third period on a harmless play because they're in the right place at the right time.

the flyers definitely have the scoring depth, and a pp firing on all cylinders, but it doesn't mean it will be enough to win.

that's true. losing in the first round is just the worst.
- hammarby31

Losing in the first round is rough. You wait all year for the post season to get here then it is over before you know it.

Since he's rehabbing on main ice today, I think it's progress since yesterday where he was only in Black Aces skate.

JVR and Meszaros are also out there now.

Exactly. There's no guarantee playing the caps or panthers is going to be an easier series than playing the rags or bruins.
- stveshdy

that's true, but facing theodore, clemmensen, or holtby seems much less daunting than the other two, who have more or less owned the flyers in recent history.

The NHL is going to figure out a way that both game 7's tomorrow night aren't being played at the same time right? RIGHT? I mean fans aren't going to be screwed by Bettman right?

exactly. if you miss the playoffs altogether, odds are you know you're not making it for some time before the regular season is over and you can prepare yourself for the end and the disappointment.

pens and nucks fans are bitter right now, and for good reason.

Aren't the gray jerseys the non-contact? That's what Meszaros had on yesterday I believe.

Bill,

Please confirm if you can: There is no way Mezzy plays in round 2, correct?

Usually, yes. But the Dmen usually wear black jerseys. More interested in seeing if Grossmann stays out for main session in 20 minutes.

Timetable has him back in Round 3. If Round 2 were to come to a Game 7, could see him "miraculously heal" ahead of schedule.

You just never know. What if Holtby or Clemmensen/Theodore plays an outstanding series?

Thinking your going to play a weaker opponent scares me even more because the mindset of "this is going to be easy" worries me. Thats the quickest way to be eliminated.

Well maybe we'll find out ONE thing today.
If the Caps win, then we can't play the rags.

I don't really care who we play, I just want to know the when, so i can solidify plans for this weekend. So while i love all the Game 7's... i also all the game 7's

- deligirl83

only 1 scenario possible for the flyers-rangers to meet - rangers, bruins, panthers win.
