Unless it's Cechmanek yelling at the inept forwards for not scoring. Then it's his fault that they're losing. - Flyskippy
Not scoring is a stretch. Two goals in 5 games is an abysmal amount of scoring, but it is a degree of scoring. |

Not to change the subject, but does anyone else find the Devils-SunCats absolutely boring? I mean, they don't hit, no bad blood, no passion it seems. The Flyers blocked 40 shots in game 6, those two teams combined for what, a dozen? There hasn't been a major penalty. I can't watch! - danham92
Yea I've been unable to get through all three periods of those games. |

He then tweeted that most people have a "last channel" button on their remotes, so they should probably quit their female dogeing.

Last night's game held my interest a bit only because it was an elimination game. It was pretty boring even then, though. There's no fire, no venom. Even the hits are ho-hum. |

It just seems like neither team wants to win that, where with the other two series those guys are killing themselves to win. |

Was just looking at the Conn Smythe winners, in 76' Reggie Leach won it scoring 19 goals in 16 games, which is unreal, but Montreal swept the Flyers in the Finals, and Lafluer posted 17 points in 13 playoff games, and Dryden was 12-1 with a stellar 1.92 GAA. That seems like a curious decision to me. - PLindbergh31
That 1976 series was a sweep but was as close as could be every game. Also, Leach scored four goals in the Finals alone -- team as a whole had nine.

Bill, I feel this year could be better than any for the Flyers win the cup. Do you agree?
If the Rangers and Bruins get knocked out, we should have no time getting to the finals. Also, I don't think any team in the west can match up to us. |

Grossmann and Meszaros both did the "taking it one day at a time" cliche when asked about their status. Meszaros did say he's not ready yet, and still has good days and bad days with his back.
I am starting to think Grossmann will be ready for Game 1. He really pushed himself today, despite the no-contact jersey. He took a lot of reps on 2-on-1 drills (more than Meszaros did).

For real, I was nodding off and had to literally change the channel. THe only series I didn't watch at all was SJ/ST. Louis so I can't comment on it, but all the other series, especially the Flyers, had me wide awake, when I was watching. At this point not sure how much I care who wins that series [/img] |

Do you think JVR will shine next series or will he still be getting back into the groove? |

Thats good news. Do you think the Flyers will start to move JvR up in the lineup? How much more time does he need to get up to speed? |

The 1975 Flyers are the last Stanley Cup championship team to be comprised solely of Canadian-born players.

Should be a very good game tonight. I think Boston has the edge because of home ice and the experience of the goaltender in Game 7's. |

Bryzgalov tossed off a couple of funny lines today despite trying to say as little as possible.
Asked how the guys on the team could stay fresh this week, he said, "Eat more veggies."
Asked by a reporter about what it's like to play for Peter Laviolette, he said, "Sorry. I don't have flash card." (That's a reference to team giving him a set of cards with questions he can expect, and how he should answer them).
