Not stupid at all, it's all we have to base our opinions on him. My opinion would be, we can find someone not named Kesler to help. - Leafland
If he can get back to last year, there isn't a lot out there that would, so probably not. If it's more along the lines of this year and the 2 years previous to last year then yeah. |

Look, you can hate Habs until you're blue and white in the face, but to deny they have one of the best young goaltenders in the league is just ridiculous. In the past 20 years, the Leafs haven't had that kind of potential or seen a goalie put up those kind of numbers |

I'm sorry, you must prefer Raycroft, Toskala, Gustavsson and Reimer.
All the power to you.
It matters because it shows he has potential to keep doing it for years and years. Instead of going through UFA goalies like Joseph and Belfour, who were older or going through junk ass goalies like Raycroft and Gustavsson, they have the potential to have the same goalie for up to a decade. That's a huge stabilizer for the team. |

actually, Price is the only Hab I like.........but if we ever get a coach that can get them to play that tight defensively it will make a world of difference on any goalie we have |

I personally think I'd prefer a 21 year old goalie who finished the year with the best GAA in the league, and the second best sv% of all goalies in the entire league over that. |

It should help the Leafs in the form of an example to find a young goalie that's good enough to be a part of the team for longer than just two or three years. You look at teams like the Rangers, the Predators or the Kings and they all have a goalie that is going to be there for years. |

Cujo?? - burn
So you have to go back 10 years to find a goalie who has comparable numbers? Is that sad or what?
Fact is, Cujo was a UFA and he ditched the Leafs after four years. He gave the Leafs some solid goaltending in his time but he came and went and didn't win anything. I'd much rather have a 24 year old, who put up better numbers, who has a long term future rather than the next UFA every four years. |

If you can't get a goalie, get a coach. Unfortunately, the Leafs wasted a lot of time with Napoleon while Tippett and Hitchcock did bigger and better things. |

And if you actually have to go back 10 or 20 years to find a good enough goalie to compete with that kind of talent or potential, that should say a lot about how horrid it's been in Toronto. |
