A 1st isn't even necessarily that good, depending on where it is in the draft.

Would I trade 6 1st rounders for Luongo? Absolutely if they were all between 25-30th overall.. No chance if they wre all top 20 picks...

Also, would I rather have Grabovski or a 1st rounder? Again, depends where they are...

People really overrate picks imo..

I actually believe the key to success int he draft is the sheer number of picks. Witht he top 5 pick, I would trade it down for say the 8th overall and the 15th.. then trade the 8th for the 12th anf the 19th, etc...

The more picks you have the better shot you have of drafting a starr....

if burke doesnt get who he wants at #5 id be all for trading say *washington for their 2 firsts for our juicy #5. i agree odds are increased because some players develop later...some earlier. hard to tell a players ceiling when they are 17-18 always..

Honestly, that's a lame excuse. Lou would do well with a change of scenery, period. If he has complex with confidence when there is heightened pressure, it wont make a difference where he goes. Either way, no matter where you play, there will always be ample pressure in the playoffs - particularly if expectations are high. I understand that the Toronto market is what many consider "a step in the wrong direction" in that regard, but I believe its all in his head. The bottom line is a new environment will do him well.
