Perhaps. I think they should never have traded Heatley and Setoguchi. Of course, the fact that they traded Seto just a day after he re-signed with them was kind of low, IMO. - Flyskippy
almost how we traded carter after giving him a monster contract? |

He was a fantastic spectator on many of the Flyers' goals in the series. - Flyskippy
sucks when you score a hattrick but your goalie blows |

In my opinion, they need to build around Pavelski. The kid is a gamer, and their future captain.
Of course, they don't really have the pieces to present a decent offer to Columbus - so Nash could be a pipe dream. |

You see Stamkos as a proven leader? I see him as a great scorer. But all-around best player? No.
And I'm thinking you can't judge Sid on what he was, and we really don't know what he is any more. - bodiva88
I think within the next few years that the Pens should consider moving one of Crosby, Malkin and Staal (Yes I said Crosby). Use one of these guys to upgrade on D. I think it's a waste of Staal's talent to be a 3rd line player his entire career. |

So...
Let's Go Panthers, eh? - aightwebang17
Was thinking we should be rooting for the Devils (as abhorrent a concept as that is). Certainly any team we draw will be a tough out at this point, but I'd like to give as many other teams as possible a chance to knock off the Rangers before we have to play them. So I'd like at least one of the 6/7/8 teams to win their series.
That said, I feel like if the Flyers play to the best of their ability, they can beat anyone, even the Rangers. |

This is kind of crazy that all the other games in the East could be headed for Game 7's. |

Most teams would struggle if their three and four hitters were out. |

I really don't let what the media says bother me. I don't know why anyone else does either. That's just two people's opinion is all. I think they're wrong. - MJL
I didn't say it bothered me. I remark that the Canadian media caters to the love in for Crosby. My opinion differs.. Also, the mere fact that they are debating this means that Giroux has progressed leaps and bounds IMO. |

So you mean to say that 2 proven leaders rank above him and he's only considered the 3rd best in the world? I'll live, and I'm sure Giroux will take that every day of the week. As long as he's the one skating with the cup over his head, I could care less. - steelydan
Agreed on the cup comment.. that's all I care that happens for he and this team.. I wouldn't see Stammer as a proven leader.. great player, but not there yet.. Crosby I'd say so.. |

Ya know, they wer discussing this right after they spoke about Roo. They said, the Pens may have too much money up the middle on their team with MAF, Malkin and Sid. The new model may be to go for depth like the Bruins and I guess we have.. |

It would be the smartest move to make. Not being able to re-sign Hossa really hurt them in my opinion but signing Neal made up for that. They need a stud on the back end, so I'd watch out if they want Suter for Weber himself. |

Just read Ek's blog and didn't want to comment there because the comments in there weren't much for reading imo and not really objective. Anyway I think Homer got the shaft big time. I'm sorry I don't get Poile and Armstrong in over him. They didn't overturn their rosters on the fly (no pun intended), make the playoffs and take out a team favored by vegas oddsmakers to win the cup.
Tallon HAD to pick up all those free agents just to hit the cap floor, his team got better by default.
Armstrong brought in a backup goalie that thrived in Hitch's system wow big surprise there.
None of those guys traded their franchise pieces, one being a captain and then lost the new captain to injury and had their team go onto have the season they did. Those moves last year were riddiculed to death. The Bryzgalov signing is the focal point of criticism in the comments and I think that's total bull poop. The guy set a franchise record this season, finished below his career goals against average and was on a new team. Oh yea and he just outclassed a guy who is a media darling and cup winner that's supposed to be better than him.
I think homer deserves at least a nomination. |

I actually dont care about the NJ/FLA series (to watch) but what happened to Theodore? This is probably the worst first round series in the NHL. |
