Not sure who can take on his salary & then to find what it would take to get him.
- ob18

If they decide to go with Schneider, I doubt they get a ton for him. With that contract, who knows?

True, I just wonder who really wants to take on the salary for that long.

Chicago can't fit that salary in can they? I think they would have to part with Sharp or someone close to him in pay.
- canadianpenfan

Maybe he'll go back to the New York Islanders you know to come full circle.

If Vancouver was willing to take a package of say Frolik and Crawford, they could pull it off.

Watching sportsnet.. Kypreos is saying Tampa's a natural fit.. the issue is the length of the contract.

That's funny because I was thinking the same thing. Lou for Grabner.

Except the Isles have about 70 goalies as it is.

Well something will have to go back the other way in terms of salary. Maybe they take Malone or Vinny? THe term on his contract is (frank)ing out of this planet.

FYI to Canadian fans, Giroux interview on Sportsnet at 6 Eastern

Why would they do that? Frolik was terrible this season, and so was Crawford.

Luongo's contract will hurt his return significantly, but Tampa Bay is a much more likely destination. They have more assets to deal as well.

Luongo has 9 years left and a NMC. Not only do they have to move him to a team that can fit him under the cap, but also one that he's willing to go to. Sure Tampa's a good fit, but what do they give up to get him?

Ryan Malone has a NMC. Do they trade Teddy Purcell? Think Vancouver would take Lecavalier's massive deal? Think Lecavalier would agree to go to Vancouver?

After Giroux's interview.. (where he was very humble) Sportsnet analysts (Kypreos and Maclean) are analysing whether or not Lavy's correct that Roo is the best in the world. Of course, there answer is an emphatic no, and that Crosby and Stamkos are better... go figure..

Yep. Career 4th liner and quite possibly the worst GM in NHL history not named Milbury have opinions that matter?

Stamkos doesn't make the playoffs and Crosby has been out all season. I want to say poor Giroux but what I really should say is poor Malkin. The guy scored 50 and led the league in points and still no love from analysts? They have such tunnel vision.
