Liking multiple teams is weaksauce.

I don't know I can't help myself from rooting for the Predators. Just like that team. The Flyers will always be my squad and it will suck if they get eliminated but I do like watching Weber and Co. out there.

That's fine. But if you reach a point where they play each other in the finals so you 'win' either way it's not.

That is true also. But in a lot of cases in the playoffs, PP's go down. That is the point.

I thought the point was that Ottawa scored as much as the Flyers did even strength during the regular season. Oh wait a minute, that was after you wrote that the regular season didn't matter.

old skool...hated it when Carolina and Tampa won...rather see a Canadien Team win...or West team win...then the South.

My point was simple, but maybe you missed it so I'll elaborate. It's being said that the Flyers are a superior offensive team to the Senators. In some ways that is true in that the Flyers scored more goals per game then the Sens did. But at even strength, the Sens are as good of an offensive team as the Flyers are. I used the regular seasons stats to illustrate that. And then made the comment about there being less PP's in the playoffs then the regular season. Normally, not always. But normally. So therefore, I don't see the Flyers having a huge advantage offensively over Ottawa on paper. Because you never know how a Series is going to play out and how teams are going to match up. It all fits together. So any time your having a hard time grasping my point. I'm happy to explain it further.

Danny B. on WIP:

It seemed in the first four games to get wilder and wilder. Last 2 games were more like playoff hockey. Game 6 was almost a perfect game for us.

Is G the best player in the league?
At this time right now I think so. The way he played against supposedly the two best players in the NHL and the way he dominated them in this series.

We see him practice every day and see him play, he wows us every day. He put us on his shoulders. He wanted it so badly. The way he played on the first shift I'll remember for a long time.

It's one thing to say you want the pressure, it's another thing to go out there and have a shift like that after saying that. The sign of a real leader.

On Bryzgalov:
Game 5 he was solid. We just didn't give him enough goal support. Feel Fleury stole that game. But Bryz's demeanor before game 6 was like Randy Johnson. No one could get near him. He had that fire in his eyes. I knew Bryz was in the zone and ready to leave it all out there. I was very confident going into that game.

Tough now to start focusing because we don't know who we are going to play. At this point I'll watch just to enjoy playoff hockey and take advantage of a couple of days to work out and to heal.

I think JVR will get better and better as the playoffs go along. He'll have a few more days of practice to get up to speed. But we saw 2 shifts where the old JVR was back. We already have a lot of depth, but adding JVR...it's amazing. We have 4 lines that can score at any time.

There was more dislike even before the series started between these two teams.

(I got a stupid phone call!)

Teams that have guys who can make a big play have an advantage. There is always a player or two that comes out of nowhere. Part of the reason for so many upsets.

I think the goal that Gustavsson scored was a big relief for us. The fourth goal more than it helped us it deflated them.

What I liked was that every guy played 60 minutes. Made me proud of that team.

I'm getting this feeling that the Rangers this year in the playoffs may follow a similar path that the Flyers did last year. Struggle to win the series against a low seeded team and lose in the second round. I don't think this Rags team will get swept though.
