If the Flyers play the Rangers, and I was Coach, I try and shut down Gaborik, Callahan and Richards, and let my 2-3 other scoring lines out score the Rangers secondary scoring... But the defense is ket against thier top line/s. - RooNosHockey
after shutting down crosby, letang, staal, malkin , neal ....I piss all over gaborik, richards, and calahan good players but nowhere near the level of those other guys...im proud of our defense holding them to just 5 goals in the last two games. If healthy i doubt the flyers will need more than three goals to win a game against the rangers. The key is scoring the first goal and then the rangers have to open up to catch up. after watching the series those guys are playing like a joke. They look spent! Lundquist and torts fighting...they are prime to getting swept! |

Yup only Bryzgalov and Bobrovsky let bad goals. - JoeRussomanno
Never said that. If you switched goalies, do you think the Flyers would have been 0-6 against the Rangers. If Bryz plays solid, the Flyers can beat anybody. |

We win the WC if Bob doesn't let that offensive powerhouse Rupp score 2 goals. |

Without looking I'm going to guess Giroux has as many pints as all 3 of them put together. They are not a dangerous offensive team. - canadianpenfan
I think you are confusing Frick and Frack with Claude.
Claude is all about Dry island!

He's not gonna be solid if you play run and gun like you guys want. Please tell me a goalie that is successful with his team playing like that game in and game out. If there's any they are very few and far between. Hell even the great Lundqvist's team isn't doing that. The capitals played more conservatively and are taking the defending champs the distance. When the Flyers opened up their offense against NY and Boston it didn't work. They gave up goals, good bad I don't care. Careless play leads to bad goaltending. Seriously this is like trying to tell people the Earth is round it's getting old. |

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I have a deal with Claude: he scores the points, I drink the pints. It's Win/Win for everybody. |

It is mental but i expect giroux to be a beast this series. After watching last nights game, the rangers look spent. sloppy passes their offense has no rythym. i actually had a rangers fan tell me that the rangers are better than the pens. lol.Flyers are going to light up lundquist like a xmas tree this is the playoffs. They are going to be all over lundquist like white on rice something they didnt do in the regular season. |

Good, how are my A's doing? I haven't paid attention since their latest off season yard sale where no offer is denied.

They never have offense, which wouldn't be too bad if they didn't trade all their pitching once they become good. That team simply can't compete with the likes of Texas and Anaheim. Baseball should have a CAP. |

I think that baseball needs to contract before they impose a cap.

Never advocated the run and gun. Careless play will lead to good opportunities for the opposition but it doesn't make routine saves into goals. While you might think all goals are the same ( who's telling who the world's flat), you are wrong. Bad goals can have a huge impact on a team. Nothing sucks the wind out of a team like a bad goal. If there are enough of them, it changes the way a team plays. Also it can give the opponent life when they seemed ready to roll over. |

You worried about Game 7? - stveshdy
No more than any other game tbh, if we can get to the net we'll win, if not I get to shave. We did pretty well in game 7's last year, Thomas is something like 11-2 in elimination games, but the guys gotta pop a few in for him to make it work. That's been our biggest issue. |

Thomas has been decent in this series. I've seen him give up a couple of soft goals in this series. Your right about getting in front of the net because Holtby hasnt been as good when traffic is around him (hes still been fantastic though). |

Thomas has definitely allowed a few softies in this series. Two in game 5 to cost us that one. He's not getting the goal support he's used to and I don't know if that's (frank)in' with his head or what. Holtby has allowed a couple of smelly ones too.
Game 7 will come down to who wants it more, are the Caps finally ready to get the game 7 monkey off their backs ? (I hope not), or do the Bruins finally break through the wall of Holtby and play the way they know they can. The Caps have done a great job of keeping our forwards to the outside and blocking a ton shots as well. Bruins have to get past that if they wanna win game 7. |

Thomas always seems to be clutch in the most important games. Boston's defense is always solid. They do need to get more from their forwards if they want to keep on playing into the next round. Should be a good game tomorrow night. I give the advantage to Boston cause they will be on home ice and the Caps always choke. |

I can tell the difference from bad goals and good ones. But if you are gonna give the opposition a high probability of scoring then why bother deciphering good goals from the bad? THere's been bad goals given up by all goaltenders especially in this playoffs. You play poorly it will lead to more of them.
I guess good goals are ok though by reading what you just wrote. |

Thing you have to understand about Flyer fans is only our goalies give up bad goals. |
