How many more times are we going to dissect this trade?? I'm not happy about the way it went down... but it did.... we have NO idea what either player will end up doing for their respective teams.

Kassian could OD on horse tranquilizers.... and Hodgson could re-aggrevate his back injury from Garth dry humping him constantly.

Both players could become all-stars... both could play 1 more season in the NHL and then become career AHLers.

It's going to be a steady stream of Canuck 1st rounders leaving since Gillis got here. So far a 1st round pick two drafts ago, Pat White(bum), Grabner(34 g rookie), CoHo(future star and leader),..........Schneider(future star #1)) this summer probably(Lu NTC), ....and I would not be surprised if the undersized Schroeder is gone after that....

Except for having the benifit of SJ dumping Ehrhoff's salary and taking a prospect that had no nhl future or even desires to go pro in the end... The Grabner, Coho and the 1st rounder(Howden) trades have been a disaster which raise red flags on how this organization pisses away 1st round picks.

I hated the CoHo trade and fought tooth and nail with the CoHo haters who told everyone that we were a much better team with Kassian instead going into the playoffs. A couple of us went as far as saying Kassian would be a healthy scratch and no more that a 4rth liner this season....

That trade worked out well for us in more than 1 way. Moving Kassian for Hodgson also opened the door for Foligno, who essentially filled the role that all of us wanted Kassian to fill. I love Foligno's game. Kassian does have some upside, but you'll have to be patient with him. He'll have his ups and downs. It's hard to say for sure who really wins that trade right now. Check back in another 2 years or so. There should be a pretty good amount of proof to judge at that point.

1/2 of this season was no fun at all being a Sabre fan
I am sure it was a lot more fun for nuck fans from mid november to the trade deadline
