The roughing calls on Rupp, Smith and Kuba were utter nonsense, I thought there were actual non calls that were more blatant than the ones that were called.

MSG couldnt even exactly find where Kuba got his penalty

Seriously, it was just so bad, so painful to watch there... I can't even tell you how aggrevated I was last night. It honest to god ruined my whole night. Reffing shouldn't be the main event ever, and it was... and I'm just a fan! I can't imagine being in the game as a player or coach.

I really can't believe he Neil acted like such a baby after this hit.

He really should have gotten an unsportmanlike conduct for the way he complained

I hate the guy with a passion, but I never would have imagined he would act like he did over a clean hit:

Regardless of the outcome, there's gonna be some angry stares on the handshake line Thursday night.

Really is amazing. boyle gets a concussion, gets up slowly and goes about his business. Neil recieves the same type of hit and acts he DZ hit him over the head with 2x4. then he blows a gasket on the bench. What a punk.

There is hardly ever a series where that is not the case. At the end of the day, I think most of these guys just get over it, and realize that what went down in the series is just playoff hockey.

Yeah, Neil got popped and acted like a kid. Richards also got hit in the first and did a baseball swing and miss as well. I just chalk it up to an emotional game filled with a large dose of nonsense.

With the way players move around from team to team these days, you pretty much have to have a short memory or your grudges will get in the way of furthering your career..

yeah, but the point is Chris Neil hits players like that 100 times a year, he's made his living off of doing exactly what he was whining about.

and, he faked being hurt on top of it

True, but watching him this series makes you see how the Rangers supposedly offered him $2.4 million per as a UFA. He is a very effective player, perhaps moreso in the playoffs than the regular season. He's the typical you like when he is on your side player, but despise him otherwise.

Like you said you know it's bad if both teams are just pissed with how the officiating went..

The most symbolic in fact hearing 20k fans screaming ref you suck while the opposing goal is screaming you (frank)ing suck in his face at the same time

Once Neil sees the replay he'll probably be embarrassed he overreacted to a clean hit like that. I think HE WAS in shock he got hit as hard as he did. Never saw that coming & from DZ, AWESOME!

I hear you. I didn't care for it either. Just pointing out a lot of guys went out of character last night (Alfie, Lundqvist as well).

Not sure if you saw it, but when the game ended, Lundqvist actually went up to the camera guy and looked like he yelled at him as well. I mean the anger last night was a level I haven't seen in a long time. When the players are even mad at the people responsible for the broadcast, its also a sign that this just wasn't a good experience.

That instance Brodeur was very butt hurt that Avery made a mockery of him in that series. Calling it even, Tie Domi showed no class when he didn't shake Lemieux's hand in 1992.

I might be wrong but wasn't the reason Brodeur refused to shake Avery's hand based on Avery talking about Brodeur's home life, including his affair and his kids, in detail? I think even for pros, talking about their kids is off limits.

As for Domi, if it is purely hockey related and stemming from an incident from a game, it is disappointing.

What DZ did to Neil is no different than what Neil did to Boychuk back in the regular season. He's got no room to whine about it, if you're gonna dish it, be prepared to take it. Live by the sword die by the sword ya da ya da ya da

Domi called out Claude all series for throwing cheap hits, etc & not excepting challenges to fight.

Word about Avery was he verbally was/is worse than anyone with talking about personnal matters & another player. Still, I think the game is bigger, tradition says you shake hands, you shake hands.
