It didn't look like it. Head was definitely not the PPOC anyways. clean hit. NBC called it a blindside during the game. Why, because he is watching the puck? - bonzo11
That's exactly how neilhit boyle, so why was neil's hit dirty?
I had no problem with the neil hit, and i had no problem with the del zotto hit. My question is that if you guys went on for almost 3 days about how dirty neil's hit was, why, if del zotto's hit is almost the same, is his hit not dirty?
They were practically identical. Hit a player who wasn't looking, ppoc to the chest and caught some head. So why is one dirty and one okay? - sensarmy_11

Neil gets flack because he makes a habit of catching guys like that.
Will leave the blog up until tomorrow, enjoying the back and forth too much, plus wiped after nearly the hours of driving back and forth today. Anyone have a link to the Neil/Del Zotto hit?
Boy I'm glad I get MSG I would have broken my TV - Blueshirts4ever
It's been like that all series long except for game 1 on nhl network. Brian hayward is pro sens. i finally switched to a web feed of cbc tonight until it was lagging in the 3rd
1 or 2 of you did, the rest were calling for a torres type suspension. Ironically enough, most were the same people who praised del zotto's hit. - sensarmy_11
I really wasn't around much saturday so maybe you are right. I know i posted that it was a clean hit though.

Oh, he definitely toes the line, almost all the time, and i totally get why other teams hate him. He's definitely thrown hits in the past that would be suspensions today (were clean at the time though). My point was that the boyle hit wasn't dirty, in fact it was very similar to del zotto's hit, which was also fine. Yet several people were calling for a massive suspension for neil, while praising del zotto.
Cannot believe that camera crew caught hank going "YOU (frank)ING SUCK!"
Definitely seems out of character for Hank.

He said it after the game. Henrik shouldn't be fined for that. What happens on ice should stay on ice. He may get a fine for his postgame comments though

The difference is also Neil repeat offender or not is a headhunter and has somehow escaped discipline. MDZ hit Neil in the chest and the contact was glancing and it was a bang bang play. Neil lined him up looking to knock him out of the game end of story. This was your chance and you spit the bit.
