I guess you can say the same about yashin, he helps the isles reach the minimum. What's the over/under on amount of games Dipietro plays next year?
- bonzo11

What did you guys get for spending $25 million MORE than the Isles in salary?
6 extra games to which your beloved organization charged you nearly TWICE the normal ticket prices AND made you pay for ALL THE POTENTIAL games UPFRONT in order to obtain the precious right to watch your team suck it hard in the first round. Makes the entire regular season seem like a fluke or mean SQUAT as Torts so nicely put it. They should move to Flushing and aptly be renamed the Queens Rangers, cos' that's what they play like.

DiPietro, over under, as reported by Vegas stands at 9 games, currently.

i find it funny how teams that dont make the playoffs try to make fun of teams that make the playoffs, 29 teams dont win the cup but at least 16 have a shot when the playoffs start, and playoff hockey is much much more exciting then regular season hockey and you have to be in it to win it

Especially those perenial bottom feeders that havn't even won a playoff game, let alone a entire series, in almost 20 YEARS.

The hatred of the Rangers is all these fools have.

its 6 ( or more ) games though...the notion that not making the playoffs is somehow better than making the playoffs and not winning the cup, even if you just play 4 extra games is retarded...even if Ottawa goes out in the first round im ecstatic that we made the dance....just making the playoffs and having a shot at the cup is awesome..playoff hockey is a step above and the excitement in the city and at the rink is awesome!!

that being said I called Sens in 6 at the start of the playoffs...no need to change that prediction!!!! GO SENS GO!!!

well good luck tonight i guess?

at least you wont have to worry about giving up much with lundqvist in net, your only issue will be scoring

Wow, that's ridiculous. No point being in the playoffs if you aren't going to watch the games- especially when it could be your last.

he is just pissed with his team and cant watch, its understandable when his goalie has done everything he can and the team in front is pissing it away

cause when the rangers lost game 5 i didn't get to sleep till like 3am. I was sad, mad and just broken. Why would i want to do that all over again. Maybe they win if i dont watch.

I'm one Sens fan that is not thrilled about them playing Silfverberg. The guy has never played a game in North America and just flew in from Sweden yesterday.

To me, game 6 of the playoffs while you are jet-lagged is not the ideal spot to throw a kid in for his first ever NHL game.

But that's what I love about the playoffs- it's emotional. You're on the opposite end of the spectrum if they come out flying and spank the Sens tonight, right? Isn't that what it's all about?

Man, regardless- even if I was incredibly superstitious- I couldn't fathom a situation where I wouldn't watch the game. I'd be literally shaking not knowing what the score is.

I can't agree more. The emotions are what make the playoffs so special. I went to the game 5 Blues game. The arena went from nervous and anxious at the start of the game to discouraged, angered, and demoralized after Big Joe scored to make it 1 - 0 late in the 2nd.

Though, the 180 degree flip that occurred in a 45 second span when we scored 2 back to back goals went from disheartened to unbelievably excited crowd. It was easily, the greatest experience I've ever had.

So your saying you rather miss the playoffs? I'll take making the playoffs any day no matter how many extra games i see. I bet you are one of those people that rather see the rangers lose than the islanders win. fans like that are pathetic. only 6 extra games is no sure thing. Enjoy drafting in the top 5, again! It's all you isles fans have to look forward to. Quebec Nordiques?
