I believe speed was his biggest flaw. The capacity to execute at high speed was questionned. But he has been over scouted since the age of 15. Like Tavares |

Mono and having everything scrutinized for two years. Aka "Tavares can't skate, Duchene will be much better." |

I've been saying this since draft day, but apparently it's me being an homer.
Pierre Dorion won't receive a tap in the back for that one... Good thing for him he drafted Silverfberg and Karlsson lately. |

Perfect fit for him. Now they need a goalie and a PP quaterback. Let's trade them Kaberle for Simmonds or Voracek |

One thing I would loved to see implemented is that every morning a 3 man panel would review any calls that were questionable for diving or embellishment from the previous days games...The league would start out with fines and than leading to suspensions... It has become an embarrassment to the league. Can't blame the refs because the plays happens so fast... What makes it worse is that our superstars our the worst offenders. True hockey fans don't want to see players flopping all over the ice.. |

The Penguins have lost-- perhaps the biggest shocker I've seen in hockey in the last five years.
Eric Engels:
EE,
Just curious, why is this the biggest shocker in 5 years?

Hmm, right handed check, 6'2 check, though I'm a bit more of a Right winger. |

Yea I would say the Habs beating Caps and Pens in '10 ranks higher. |

I knew Giroux was really good, but not THAT good.
And Couturier has really impressed me. He has stopped Malkin for 6 games. Wow. - _nay_
Malkin had 1 point against Cooter in the 6 game series. That 1 point was an assist.

I think it has to do with the way the series was played, but mostly because I felt the Penguins were the best team I've seen in that long.
Not shocked that Philly did it, because they certainly bring out the worst in the Penguins. |

They Flyers played the Pens solid all season and had a winning regular season record against the Pens.
The Flyers only lost 1 game in Pitt over the last 2 seasons and that 1 loss was the last game of this season, the Flyers didn't show up for that game.
I don't think the Pens losing this series was a huge shock. Two very even teams although I think the PEns have a little edge at the high end level talent but the Flyers dpeth is second to no other team in the league this year. |
