Look what his coach said after the game, is it any wonder that they are crybaby bad sports.

Can we get a gif of Bylsma pecking his head and biting his lip while trying to do everything he can to not complement the flyers. He came off as a sore loser.

I would say so. I have no idea why Crosby would stoop to such poor sportsmanship. The best players in the world should be above that type of bush league stuff.
- PLindbergh31

I guess I can understand it from a "get under their skin" perspective, elite talent or not, but as a leader he sent his team down a path that had no potential to win them that game. Of course, now he'll have plenty of time to contemplate this

I saw Bylsma's post game, I don't think he said anything wrong. He gave the Flyers credit for being the better team.
- PLindbergh31

Then saying I can't wish them luck though. No need to say that, he is just being a poor loser. Just my take.

Meh. Pronger picked up pucks. That didn't work either.

I lost any remaining shred of respect I had for them as a team during this series.

The only players that didn't play with a code of honor in the series imo, were Malkin and Neal. The constant head hunting was total BS.

Yes it did...

Or I guess you missed the point. He was purposely directing media attention towards himself so the younger guys, like Giroux at the time, could focus strictly on the games.

Hopefully we'll be the only team from the Atlantic to reach the next round.

I think that was more tongue and cheek. Being state rivals he almost has to say that.

Yea, Crosby reverted back to some of his childish antics, but I still respect his unique skill set. He's still the best player in the game when healthy IMO.

Malkin has always annoyed me. He acts like a spoiled brat when he loses, and this was nothing new from him.

Neal I've lost all respect for. Didn't realize how much of a head-hunter he was. He even did it to Jags today.

Whatev. I thought he could have done that in post game pressers. I thought it was kinda bush at the time. Still do.

+1

On the other hand, I thought Jordan Staal was very focused and competitive through this series.

Yes he will. I really don't despise Crosby, I appreciate his immense talent, I think some of his antics are uncalled for though.

Malkin and Neal are a couple of cheap shot artists.

If you throw out game 4, where the entire team layed an egg, Bryzgalov, had a .920 save % in the series. Which is plenty good enough to win. Considering the firepower of the opponent he played ok. Would like to see him build on today. Hopefully the game today gives him an extra confidence boost, and the rest helps him as well.
- PLindbergh31

920 damn, really? i'm one of the supporters and this surprises me. i hope the rest serves him and we get march bryz back.

He did it then too. The media was in love with him during those finals. It worked.

I stopped giving a rat's ass what their coach had to say as soon as I saw Lilja and Bryz hugging in the crease as the horn sounded. Rearview mirror.

Staal was great. I was worried every time he was out on the ice. Flyers didn't have a good answer for him. The Briere line was exposed defensively somewhat, but they did play well offensively.

Agreed. I've yet to listen to Bylsma or Sid's pressers because frankly I don't give a poop what they have to say. They're golfing now, and that's all that matters.

I found it humorous. Gamesmanship after-the-fact, maybe.

Now, if he went on to resort to name calling and complaining, that'd be a different story.

Bryz's play was up and down, but he was a hug factor in winning the first two games and was very solid in each of the last two-or at least didn't give up weak goals that needed to be stopped.

Now he gets a chance to heal up.

Just a bit of a mismatch there defensively, especially considering Staal's size advantage. Danny B and his line produced enough offensively to make up for it though.

Yep. He gave up 5 goals on 18 shots in game 4. That's gonna hurt your numbers significantly in a short series. He finished with a .877 save %.

I do think it was tongue in cheek, but really, I don't care about the Pens until September. Fun series, but now we got to focus on the next round, getting guys healthy and ready to go.
