Crosby was good early in the series. I agree with others... I think Malkin did something to him on that hit in game 5

I think even subconsciously something has to change when he gets hit hard now, I can't blame him. G knocked him hard in the first minute and was pretty invisible during even strength for the rest of the game.

It would have been a blast. But I'm certainly glad there is no game 7. And I'm not at all surprised there isn't one. I didn't have any doubt that the Flyers would close this Series out before then.

It would have been exciting, but my face would've been green and my stomach would've been in knots.

I'm wondering if Giroux's hit in the 1st shook him up?

got lost in the woods there since a few minutes to go in the 3rd, but HELLL YEAHHH BOYSSS! solid 60 min effort today, couple failed clears and getting pinned in our zone, but besides that and backing too far in one there lone goal, great game. Solid D game and Flyers stayed in their lanes and blockes tons of passes and shots. Lets get healthy and keep this rollin!

With the series win secure, I think the Flyers have a lot of good experiences to take from the adversity they faced in the series moving forward. If more games are played like today's game here on out, this team should be really tough to beat

Credit to Braydon Coburn and Matt Carle.

They obviously had to step up the last two games and that's exactly what they did.

No surprise. We saw what they could do in 2010.

He shouldn't have to ask for it. I don't understand why a team would want to start a game not having their best player on the ice.

Just when you realize how good he really is, he get's better. He pretty much told the team in the first shift and the first period, that were winning this game. Follow me!

I'm excited to see him too. I wouldn't be surprised if Meszaros was paired with Lilja and Kubina sat. I would the Flyers would show more confidence in Kubina and place him next to a player like Carle but giving Kubina less minutes today may have been a good thing. I fault him for blocking the vision of Bryz but on the Staal goals 2 on 1, it was Kubina both times caught in the middle. Those 2 goals were never on him, it was good he stayed back and you have to wonder what happened to the other guy.

I can't even begin to wonder what the pairs will be when we're finally healthy but at the same time I'm not holding my breath Meszaros will be ready to go right away.

Matchups. The Flyers have been pretty successful with certain ones. Laviolette made some changes today. He switched Simmonds with Voracek. And double shifted Giroux frequently.

A Penguins fan covering the Flyers is a total joke anyway.

I thought I saw Simmonds more with JvR and Read. Then I thought I saw Voracek with Briere and Schenn.

Both Lavy and Hartnell said that he is the most competitive player they have ever come across. And do you remember that this is the same kid that came to his first camp with a sense of entitlement and did not make the team b/c he apparently did not work hard enough?

He honestly reminds me of Forsberg.

Actually, I think it began at the end of game 5. When the Pens cleared the zone and Cooke had a chance at an empty netter, Roo chased him down and wouldn't let him score as time expired. The look on his face was like let's just start game 6 right now, he was angered and ready.

Simmonds ice time was way down in this game, and in the series in general. He didn't play very well. Hopefully he finds his game in round 2.

You saw right. Simmonds had been with Briere and Schenn previously.

I didn't notice a lot of Simmonds this game but when I did, he was his usual self. I wouldn't suggest the ice time down due to his lack of play. I think it was to keep him from getting in trouble. Simmonds is engaged in the rivalry.
