Matt Carle had a good game today so there's about a dozen pages of complaining you won't get
- JoeRussomanno

Carle played solid. The team played well defensively and anyone who has any negative comments shouldn't bother posting those after this series win. Lets enjoy this.

Damn I was impressed by Gus. That guys did not look overwhelmed at all. He had a couple of weak/failed clears but overall he was superb. Great stick, great positioning. And most importantly, he got help every time.

Credit to Braydon Coburn and Matt Carle.

They obviously had to step up the last two games and that's exactly what they did.

Big win, boys. I hate the Flyers' guts but they played a hell of a series. I'm thinking some big changes are in store for my Pens this offseason. Good luck next round. Peace. I'm gonna go cry into my Lemieux jersey now......

I don't think they really need some big changes. Add a solid physical defensive defenseman and roll it out there. It just wasn't the Pens year, and it was a bad matchup for them against the Flyers.

That's another one. The ridiculous over blown criticism of good players.
- MJL

almost thought I jinxed Briere when he took that bad hit because I said he'd have a good game.

This just makes the 3-0 comeback from the Flyers vs Boston so much better.

Yeah, I would think our defense is the biggest thing to get changed. When we won it all in '09, Gill and Scuderi were so crucial. We definitely didn't have that this year, and you guys ate us up.

They just need to change that blend on the backend a little bit.

Most important for you I think is to figure out whether 87 is the old 87. Not just in this series but this year he just does not seem like the absolute terror he was before. Now he is just very good, not a superstar.

No there was no real doubt. Any doubt offered was manufactured by some doubting fans. I've read so much nonsense. Such as we can't win a game 7. Can't win without Grossmann. They have no grit. Calling players a waste of a uniform. Blah, blah, blah!

What all Season has this team done all season to doubt them? To lack giving them support and believing in them? Nothing! Believing any thing else about this team is weak. I said it before and I'll say it again. Thank goodness this team isn't as weak mentally.

You nailed it. In Game 4 we beat ourselves. In Game 5 Fleury had a strong second half but the Flyers were really giving it to him. How is anyone suppose to know whether or not a goalie is playing strong without the other team coming on strong? This Penguins team never gave me any reason to doubt that we couldn't win. Coming back 3-0 has only happened 4 or 5 times in Sports History. The odds were against the Pens, not us. Going into today's game I only worried about Fleury and he put that worry to rest early.

I thought the perspective was established when they did it. It's only happened what 4 times in all of pro sports I think...

Crosby was good early in the series. I agree with others... I think Malkin did something to him on that hit in game 5

I would of thought reading a lot of posts that the Flyers were down 3-0 and then 3-2 in games. I thought maybe I was dreaming that the Flyers were in control.

that was the signature moment right there. The Giroux check on Crosby was great too.

Still, I definitely didn't want to see a game 7.

That briere goal was huge. Responded within a 130 of Malkins goal. Fluery was floping aroud and Flers got the bounce. It was the immediate answer like games 2 and 3 and it really deflated the Pens

3 goals and 5 assists in 6 games is excellent by any standard, but he definitely wasn't the same in the last 2 games.

It would have been a blast. But I'm certainly glad there is no game 7. And I'm not at all surprised there isn't one. I didn't have any doubt that the Flyers would close this Series out before then.
