Gus had a huge game today. Great if he was playing that many minutes.

Grats Flyers. Bryz still needs to improve (a lot) for you to have a shot in the future rounds, but maybe he can do it.

What about that do you find funny?

At any point? And no doubt whatsoever?

They played a phenomenal game today and I am proud and impressed. But I won't go that far.

Anyway, I don't want to argue about this.

I am deeply, deeply impressed by Jagr.

Roo is awesome. Could you ask for a better start to a game. Big hit on Crosby then a goal.

Also mad Max is the man. Homer did a great job getting him, he is just such an important player for this team.

That was the game right there. That's why the Flyers are never out of it. That's why, even if they lost today, they still had a great shot at a game 7. Due to the fact that they have players like Giroux who can set the tone, and that the team is capable of dominating even a great team like the Pens on any given game day.

Hope the other series go & games. The flyers need to rest up and get healthy. Hopefully Grossmann gets heathy and Mez can make it back for game one.

Summertime has arrived early in poopsburgh. Hilarious that they are getting 6 inches of snow tomorrow though.

Malkin gae Neal poop after getting smashed into the boards. I assume he could have made a play that he didn't make.

Not the Bruins or Rangers. Anyone else I can live with, although Anderson looks great right now.

Too early to tell, but with Sid and Malkin out of the way, why not Ovie next. I can't believe that the four teams to come out of the east may be Florida, Philly, Washington and Ottawa.

I thought they were an intelligent crowd. They cheered when it was needed. And they sensed from the way the Flyers were playing, that the game was over well before the final horn. So that led to a lack of excitement down the stretch, until the final minute.
- MJL

i was expecting more energy from them, especially at the start of some key pk's and other moments. they seemed nervous to me. in the end, it means nothing, as the flyers won the game, and that's obviously what matters. it's a big moment for the franchise to beat crosby, especially when virtually nobody picked them to advance - wanted some more excitement and appreciation. that' just me.

he was fan(frank)ingtastic. holmgren robbed the entire league, and especially howson.
- hammarby31

Howson turned Voracek, Couturier, and Carter into Jack Johnson.

No there was no real doubt. Any doubt offered was manufactured by some doubting fans. I've read so much nonsense. Such as we can't win a game 7. Can't win without Grossmann. They have no grit. Calling players a waste of a uniform. Blah, blah, blah!

What all Season has this team done all season to doubt them? To lack giving them support and believing in them? Nothing! Believing any thing else about this team is weak. I said it before and I'll say it again. Thank goodness this team isn't as weak mentally.

So much for all of the experts and their call on the pens winning the cup. They won 2 whole games in the playoffs they were close with that call.

It really pissed me off how little respect the Flyers got during this entire series. But whatever the boys know they could do it no matter what.

This is just a team that you can really love and get behind. Well done Homer in putting together a team we can be proud of.

i agree w/u

giroux shouldn't need to wave up the crowd there at the end

Looks like we're leveling up. We don't know who we're facing next and we're about to get more healthy. We're going to need an injury update for Meszaros and Grossmann.

i'm not kidding, beating NJ in the first round in game 5 in 2004 was like winning the cup compared to what i saw today.

i remember when i was 5 years old.

but a great series by the flyers. penguins were a good team but the flyers were better... now i need to go clean my mouth out..

but best of luck in the playoffs. penguins will be making big changes so dont expect a free pass next year.
