Honestly though I think Leaf Fans would be more upset with a Rick Nash Trade then missing the playoffs this year. Burke doesn't need to pull off another Phil Kessel trade because that will just get him fired.
He needs to get a goal tender and work on the teams toughness so they can at least compete against the Bruins next year. The 0-6 against the Bruins hurt them just as much as failing at the end of the year this year.
He also doesn't need to go after Parise because he won't land him just like he knew he wasn't going to land Richards last summer.
If he makes a huge trade it better be for a goaltender and not one named luogno or any other goaltender that a team will be looking for our 1st round pick this year.
i hope the leafs do that!
then they will be screwed for even longer! burke needs to admit that they need to sell and start over from scratch aka goalie to defense to forward.
but hey if they want to overpay for two players, im all for it!!!!!
