Goaltending should be their number 1 priority. Which ever team gets Rick Nash will make a huge mistake. |

I don't necessarily disagree. You don't always have to have a playmaker as a top line centre, but if you have pure snipers, like a Kessel, Nash, what have you, it helps. Nashville doesn't have those types of wingers on that level, so they can get by with hardworking centres.
Columbo tried pairing Carter and Nash, two shoot first type guys, didn't really work. - Gord_Wilson_2.0
That's what im saying though. Outside of guys like Kovalchuk, I don't know of to many pure snipers in today's NHL anymore.
Kessel and Lupul just have so much offensive creativity that it works. They both are very under-rated passers.
People forget that some players are equally as bad at distributing the puck as they are at putting it in the back of the net. It's such an insane concept now-days for some reason. |

I'm not sure to be honest. I don't know where he'd stand on the age part. I'm not sure what his contract is like now or what is left. I can't see it being out of the question. They are in (frank)ing dire need for a goalie. - weirdoh
2 yrs left. I think 5.33 cap hit. next year 5.33 and the final yr 1.5 actual money. |

Here is what Toronto needs to do if they want to regain significance:
1) Trade 2 or 3 of their current stars..Yes, that includes Kessel. Load up on Draft Picks/Projects that are 2 years outs of making it to the NHL
2) Trade their 1st Round Draft pick this year..Load up on Picks/Projects
3) Go into the 2013 season with a payroll of around 50 million and KEEP it there. Put all the young talent you have in the organization on the ice. Time to find out who has talent and who doesn't in 2013.
4) At the Trade deadline, trade away the players who aren't going to be part of the core 3 and 4 years out. Start signing the talent you think will be part of the core.
5) Come the 2014 Draft, load up using your draft picks. Keep the Payroll at around 50 million for 2014 year. It isn't your year yet.
6) Come the 2015 season, you will have a wealth of young talent that will represent your core. Add a veteran or two to establish leadership and mentor the youth. Make a push for the playoffs. Keep the payroll no more then 55 million.
7) By the 2016 season, you are there. You have youth, depth, and money to spend. |

I suppose. They both fell asleep in the second half though. Had a great start for sure. I just think both Lupul and Kessel would benefit from an elite playmaker rather than adding another sniper to the roster. Connoly isn't that guy, and Grabovski is a great second line player. |

Great on the PK, lays down on the ice most of the time, blocking cross ice pass and the bottom of the net. Great teammate also but (frank) is he EVER slow! |

anyone assuming its 2 forwards had a great 4/20 celebration its a Dman and Nash and the only D-man that makes sense is Suter but he would have to be after money to leave Nashville now. |
