That's just absurd. Meltz, do you think Laviolette knew he was going to be playing Kubina and Lilja so little before the game started, or was that a decision made on-the-fly based upon how poor they looked out on the ice?
And knowing what he knows, what does he do for tomorrow? Dressing 6 d-men but playing 3 for most of the game is surely a recipe for disaster. - wolfhounds
Maybe you spread your top 3 out over 3 pairs to spread the playing time around. Although its hard to not have that top go to pair to ride imo this would be a safe route to go. If the game ends up being tight you could always put the top pairing back together if there is a chance of winning. |

Kinda messed up though, neal did the same thing to couturier and only gets a game. Either way the punishment fits the crime this time. |

I would expect nothing less from him. He's a competitor. And if i was in his shoes, you'd have a snowballs chance in hell of keeping me out more than one game.
I fully expect the flyers to win this series. Giroux won't allow this team to lose. |

if the league continues to punish on result and not intent or type of hit, head shots and dangerous hits wont go away.
if the league continues to let players head hunt and punch people in the back of the head (malkin would be a good example although it happens with others) head shots wont go away.
if the league continues to be inconsistant based on who is doing the act, head shots wont go away.
if the league does not get rid of the instigator rule, head shots will not go away. |

A Flyers fan's prayer to the hockey gods
Blessed oh mysterious and humorous entities which we Fans like to turn to only when it seems necessary. We send our prayers, up to the frigid pond upon which the game ever after is played. At this time our beloved Flyers are besieged with injury and hanging on for dear life against a rival who has disgraced the game by inflicting most abhorrent injury to our deadline savior while the goalie which was promised so long ago also struggles with injury. Please entities bless us with Grossmann's presence tomorrow, a kiss on Bryz's boo boos and send those blasphemous Penguins with their demon spawn Captain Cindy Crysby back to the eternal darkness which is known as the cup-less off season. In Clarke's name we beseech you. |

You forgot one...
If certain playets don't get rid of their douchebaggery (yes, i made that up) attitudes, head shots will not go away |

Now Baicker just tweeted Grossmann is back on the ice hallelujah! - JoeRussomanno
Thats good news of course, but that does not mean he will play. It means that he is upto experimenting. Alfredson even skated in the pregame warmups for game 3 and did not play in that game or the next one.
Lavy rolled the die with his big 3 last night and the next game is within 36 odd hours of the previous one. If they get to game 7, they will be toast mentally and physically. This is an elimination game for the Flyers. |
