quick turnaround....sunday at noon is the game right? Geez. They blew a golden opportunity last night. This series is right there for the pens now - Just5
Flyers still in the drivers seat. They lead 3-2 in the series and play the next game on home ice. This is the game were they have to lay it on the line. Nobody wants to go back to Pittsburgh tied and losing three straight. |

The Flyers are REALLY trying to be on the both sides of blowing a 3-0 series.
I think they jut might do it. There goes my peaceful Sunday. |

The fact they were able to generate those golden opportunities has me feeling good. Those guys will only miss those shots 1 time out of 10. That's why it's best out of 7, tommorow they are on top of their game and win. |

I'm not that big on the flower either. I think he benefited from the flyers being off their game a little bit. That thing should have been 4-3 Flyers.
It's all good. Flyers hit a lull these last two games. Can't remember them unable to get out of such a lull after two games all season. |

He fixed five hole issue last night. Time to go high. His point blank stop on Scotty was excellent. flyers may have to look for that extra pass he is really aggressive |

i dont believe fleury did anything better last night, our quality chances have been cut down pretty heavy...the flyers kept shooting week stuff into his legs and chest and he just covered up.
i hate all this talk that maf is getting hot, it becomes the headline and poisons peoples minds and plays in there heads.
the rookie bunch have hit the wall, schenn has deeply degressed since game 1, courterire is either injured or burned out, read looks horrible.
jake needs more ice time, simmonds needs to step it up.
im not going to complain about our d cuz there d is far worse. |

The Flyers still lead 3-2 in this series. They lost last night by a single goal. They had plenty of chances in the third period to tie the game. They have to play more consistent hockey for the entire game. The Flyers are still in control of this series imo. |

Naturally the team has a slew of key injuries at the most inopportune time. Just once it would be nice to see this team enjoy some injury luck during a playoff run. It's the first round and their defense has been reduced to a skeleton crew. - BOSS_TWEED
Injuries are "part of the game" Sir. Every team deals with them. That is what I was told the entire year, the same folks who say that crap, will be the first ones to blame injuries if the Flyers blow this series. |

Flyers hit two posts, and failed to convert on either of the two odd man rushes they had. That is the difference in the game right there.

The only thing that concerns me for Game 6 is the defense. Coburn, Timonen, and Carle are logging huge minutes.
Gustafsson played well last night but Kubina needs to be a scratch if their not going to use him or dress another defenseman.
Flyers are still leading the series (you would think otherwise sometimes). |

Amazing that Kubina and Grossmann were acquired to replace the aspects Pronger brings, neither one can play now, and on top of that there is no Meszaros. |

Not really. Those goals were not bad last night. PP goal, 2 on 1, wide open slapper from the dot. I would like him to make one of those saves but he didnt. He still made some nice saves to keep them in the game. The Flyers were dominated in that second period.

Talks of a guy making his NHL debut tomorrow on defense with the Flyers season on the line. Seriously, it's come to that? |

The Flyers have last change next game they need to use their other defenseman more if possible. Flyers added all these defenseman so they didnt have to kill their top four but it looks like we're headed that way again.
I still like the chances for the Flyers much better than Pittsburgh. |

Do you think Lundqvist, Rinne, Thomas, Smith, Holtby, the St. Louis goalies come up with any of those saves? |

Why was Giroux going bananas at the end of the game last night? Was it just frustration over the loss or did something happen at the end? I feel like NBC had their B team at the game last night. There weren't any replays on a few penalty calls during the game and other plays throughout the night. |

I thought Gustafsson did a nice job yesterday. They have to dress someone who can play bc right now Kubina is pretty much useless (cause he cant move). |

Possibly. The 2 on 1 goal not a chance.
The slapper from the dot was the only one he had a chance on but that was an absolute rocket from the dot with no one around the shooter. He had all day to lace it and he did. |

Gustafsson was better than Lilja and Kubina without question. That's not saying much, but Gus did about as good a job as can be expected.
But don't forget Gus played 30 games this year, playing Manning or Lauridsen would be a disaster. But at least they are young and can move. Lilja and Kubina are just wastes of a uniform. |
