Well, they were well rested after taking the 2nd period off. - tangent_man
In both games. That second period has been huge for us the last 2 games. Probably will be again tomorrow, I fully expect to be down after the first, I think the Flyers will come out like gangbusters. |

I hope so. And if they do, I hope they bring one new piece of vocabulary with it...

EDIT - What the hell happened over in your thread? You're letting guys in without proper screening again. |

What I've noticed is a complete flip flop. The first 3 games the Flyers were putting the puck deep and getting on our D forcing turnovers. Now it's the Pens doing that to the Flyers and the fact that these guys are playing close to 30 minutes it's taking a toll. Whether we have one game left or 2 I expect both teams to bring it and provide us with some stellar hockey. - canadianpenfan
I'll be honest. The Flyers didn't lose game 5 due to their defense and those guys playing those minutes. They lost game 5 because they failed to generate offense 5 on 5, especially in the 2nd period. The Forwards for the Flyers are the biggest culprits in the game. They have to be better

5 on 5 the Flyers are generating absolutely nothing until the third period. A lot of that once again comes back to getting pucks deep and controlling the play. |

I think it's difficult to pin the blame on anything/anyone in particular. They all should accept equal share of the blame in the loss. |

In the later clip, I could have sworn it was Alan Ruck in the costume.

I don't think you can ban people when 2 people are having an argument but they are both arguing the same side and don't even know it. |

But he said he had a surprise for the Flyers in game 7. Don't win game 6 because then i won't find out what entertainment greatness he has in store.

In my opinion it's not. The loss can clearly be pinned on the lack of 5 on 5 offense. As a team, they all should accept blame. But that's not what I'm talking about. |

Forget the start time, if your not ready to play tomorrow then you dont deserve to win, this is the playoffs. |

The lack of even strength scoring isn't AS important when your PP is 10 for 20 or whatever ridiculous number it is. |

Clearly Laviolette doesn't think much of Kubina or Lilja for whatever reason, hurt or otherwise, based upon their playing time last night. Therefore them being a bit of a waste of a roster spot the last game isn't too far off and is no way a critique of their careers. - wolfhounds
It's incredibly far off. It's not the case under any circumstance. It's an off base, incorrect, statement whether it is abut one game or a career. |

I probably should have. Thought the Flyer fan was fine and hoped the Pen fan would just stop. |
