If Bryz chokes, causing the Flyers to lose being up 3-0. Ed Snider is going to go (frank)ing nuts. - Scottie Upshall
I have no problem with the way Bryz has played in the this series (sans game 4, of course) |

He didn't have much of a chance on any of the 3 goals.

He has the 2nd worst stats of any goalie in the playoffs. If the Flyers had and actual goalie, they would have swept this series. Bryz cost the Flyers game 4 and quite possibly the series.

Consistency was lacking a bit too much for my tastes. |

Thought he had a great first period but yes, effort was lacking there. |

Injuries are "part of the game" Sir. Every team deals with them. That is what I was told the entire year, the same folks who say that crap, will be the first ones to blame injuries if the Flyers blow this series. - PLindbergh31
I'm one of the people who have stated that injuries are part of the game. And yes, every team does deal with them. And you'll be waiting a long time for me to blame the injuries as the reason, if the Flyers lose this Series. Is it a factor of course it is. The Pens were without Martin, and Neal, as well as Adams, a key role player for game 4. They found a way to win 10-3. The Flyers haven't lost the last 2 game due to injuries.

Would you agree that in game 4, with the Flyers up 2-1, and Malkin scoring one of the weakest goals of the playoffs, to be considered the turning point of this series? |

And fleuey has the worst. If he was playing better it could easily be a sweep for the pens. Dont manipulate stats to further your agenda. The fact of the matter is that we're still up 3-2. Ill take that all day. |

Gustafsson was better than Lilja and Kubina without question. That's not saying much, but Gus did about as good a job as can be expected.
But don't forget Gus played 30 games this year, playing Manning or Lauridsen would be a disaster. But at least they are young and can move. Lilja and Kubina are just wastes of a uniform. - PLindbergh31
Now we have players who are wastes of a uniform. That's just brutal. Kubina has been a solid NHL defenseman his entire career. He's obviously not 100%. Lilja has played well in his role all Season. |

Every coach that ever taught any player on either team how to play defense. They all failed miserably.
3 on 1's on the PK shouldn't even be possible, never mind frequent. The funny thing is whoever moves on will probably look alot more defensively sound next round. There's just too much skill on the ice. |

They won't win a game 7 under any circumstance. You can guarantee that. Their chance is tomorrow. - PLindbergh31
Maybe they should forfeit and just give up then if it goes to game 7? And why can't the Flyers win a game 7?

Personally I consider the Flyers lack of discipline combined with the refs calling everything on them in the 2nd period of Game 4 the turning point. |

You stated that bc bryz has the second worst stats in the playoffs that he cost the flyers 4 games. How? They've only lost two.... so i said that fleury has the worst stats in the playoffs and if he was playing better we could have been swept.
Bottomline is that we're still up 3-2. Thats a good position to be in.
Edit... nevermind i was a bit dyslexic there. You said game 4 not 4 games. My bad man. |

Good question. Its one strong possibility, although I'm not sure I nominate it due to the fact that the Flyers came back from that to have a 3-2 lead in that game...more than that, I'd say it was the fact that the Penguins didn't implode (like in game 3) when the Flyers went up 3-2 after all those power plays...they got it tied up quickly with Sid's goal, and never looked back.
For what its worth, I thought Coot's goal on that abysmal turnover by Lovejoy was going to be the thing that delivered the series to the Flyers...(it still might)
