Anytime. It's frustrating to see fans treating other fans differently because they're fans of our rivals. And the guys that come over and post regularly over here like you, ef, and gunner (i know theres a few more just cant remember) are always good to talk to. Personally I've never had an issue and its been fun. And yeah emotions are high right now... but thats no excuse to remove civility.
And it's definitly living up to the hype. Whether it ends tomorrow or tuesday (hopefully the former ) its been a great series. Maybe they'll give us another 5 ot game before its all over - fecondo
A great many sports fans in general act like they're actually on the team they root for.
It's kinda weird.
I'll never forget the dude who popped in after Kane's Cup winner ...
Your team just won the Cup and that's the first thing you think to do?

Sure. But again, there is no one to talk to over there. And that one post sure was idiotic IMO. Yeah sure, Malkin is an angel and Coots was embellishing.
Also, you must have missed a Vancouver troll as well (here and today). So easy with the self-flagellation .
edit: no one = almost no one - GoFlyersGoSlovakia
They're penguins fans so of course they're going to defend their players. We can conject all we want, but only malkin and coots know where that hit landed. And i saw the troll before... just chose to ignore him. More often than not the guys on here get rid of them pretty quickly.

I knoe what you mean. And while i may say "we" when referencing the flyers i obvioisly kbow im not on the team... im just lazy its easier to say we than the flyers every time. And yeah i remember that guy. I was actually watching that game with a friend of mine.. happens to be a pens fan. And once we lost i expected the ribbing to commence. But he just stood there and said next year bud. It was kind of refreshing.

Not sure my blood pressure can take that. With these defenses and the offensive skill on the ice at all times I'm probably not in too much danger. - canadianpenfan
I know its not probable... but man that would be fun
Thanks man. I try to be respectful when I come. I think most Pens fans that come in here often try and do the same for the most part. Emotions are high, that's all.
Series is living up to they hype. To be considered one of the best it has to go 7 though. - canadianpenfan
Why was Giroux going bananas at the end of the game last night? Was it just frustration over the loss or did something happen at the end? I feel like NBC had their B team at the game last night. There weren't any replays on a few penalty calls during the game and other plays throughout the night. - The_Inkwell
Perhaps 4:37 had something to do with it? It wasn't like the outcome of the game had been decided or anything with 5 seconds left and the puck behind the Flyers' net.
Good thing Giroux's spider sense was tingling or the launched elbow would have connected with his head.
if MAF is back in his game, then your defense needs to improve. i have noticed that you guys really only play 3-4 dmen every night (i dont blame you, the bottom pairing is just ugly) but i dont know if you can win with 4 dmen. if the penguins continue to hit and continue to play the game they have played, your defense could be hurting, even if you do move on.
the penguins defense has really picked up and if we can get the pens to stop tking such stupid penalties, we could go 7 easily.

How come everyone uses this spider sense tingling phrase? I had never heard of this term before this incident and now I am reading it once an hour.

It's pretty common when one article uses a certain word, it becomes the fashion to use it in every sentence.
Notable words I've noticed this series:
vitriol
petulant
DRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!!
If the Pens win, it goes to 7. The Pens have all the momentum, coming back home, and all the confidence in the world having beaten the team that couldn't be beaten 3 times in a row. The Flyers will be gassed and hurting (like they already are) from the physical hurricane that the Penguins bring every period (legal or not).
With a college defense stacking up against Malkin, Neal, Crosby, Stall, Letang and co., it doesn't look good at all for the Flyers.
I don't like where this is going. I said that after game 5.

You never know. ANYTHING can happen in a Game 7. I would expect a 2-1, or 3-2 game if it were to go to Game 7.

I'm going to say this:
Whoever wins tomorrow wins the series.
If the Flyers win...well...they win the series

Momentum means nothing. Desperation is everything. That's the trutg of the playoffs. The flyers were more desperate the 1st 3 games. They won. As soon as they got the momentum amd pitt became desperate they lost. Play with a sense of urgency and things go your way. Even if this series goes to a game 7 I'm not convinced the flyers lose. Anything can happen.

You must not come here often. This is the typical philly mantra. We're up 3-2 but since we lost 2 in a row we already lost rhe series. If any of you told me before this series started that the flyers would be up 3-2 i would have been ecstatic. And believe me i still am. Not all of us are negative nancys.

Maybe, just maybe, they come here because they like talking hockey. And most of the conversations that have gone on in here have been intelligent and fun. I for one am enjoy when other knowledgeable fans come over here and talk hockey. The only idiotic posts I've seen have been from fans of our team. - fecondo
One of your humble visitors thanks you for this post. I hate your team, but *most* of you guys are OK by me and I'm glad I can post here with an opposing viewpoint without getting attacked.
