Landeskog had a better season and that's all the Calder is about, But Crosby didn't win either so who cares. As for best in class we'll see in 10 years Larsson, Huberdeau and the aft fore mentioned Landeskog all look to be pretty big locks to be very good for very long. Strange how people called this draft class weak!

I think that the core of the team has been there so many times, that they have lost the necessary hunger to win.

They are still a very talented team, but I don't think this core wins another championship. Over the next few years, the best that they can hope for is to stay competitive every year.

Mileage. Simply put Detroit is getting old. Its key players have played a lot of hockey and the supporting cast is simply not as good as it used to be. The go to guys can't bring it like they used to.

Also have to agree with this blog as D'Amigo has been doing well despite people thinking he'd be just a 3rd liner this year.

It's no surprise that Phoenix, Nashville and St. Louis are all beating their opponents using the same method of defensive hockey.

Thanks for bringing up Los Angeles too. I picked them to upset the Canucks and the simple reason is because they play like Boston does. Amazing goaltending, defensive, hard hitting and clutch players like Brown and Richards who play amazing two-way hockey.

I don't care who wins as long as everybody keeps beating the piss out of each other.

For McKegg to join the Marlies, the Knights would have to be eliminated from the OHL playoffs. But even if he was eligible, I'd say it's unlikely. The Marlies have a lot of players who are already sitting.
