Ek just tweeted out an interesting stat. Over the last 10 years, teams that give up 6+ goals in a loss are 17-14 in the next game. In the next game after losing by 4+ goals, they are 21-10.

Hartnell has seen PK time in the past, but it tended to be under dire circumstances. We would see Welly and Jake before Chewy.

I want a shutout tonight. I dont wanna hear that whiny fan base cheer after the first 10 minutes. No offense to you true pens fans out there.

Recent history of this team have shown us that the forwards really step up their defensive side of the game when injuries occur. I am hoping for the same tonight. One can hope right?

- JFlyers00

I've been thinking shutout all day long.

Can't get it out of my mind.

Just not sure which teams get shutout.

We'll find out around game-time if James van Riemsdyk (foot) will return on Friday. van Riemsdyk said he'd play if asked, but the Flyers might decide to give him a bit more time to heal. Philadelphia has a 3-1 series lead and while they probably don't want to allow the Penguins to build more momentum, they do have some breathing room going into Friday's contest.

I think this is a tough series for JVR to come back into.

Fast skating, hard hits... playoff hockey!
