Yea I mean the guy they have now didn't just set a franchise record for shutouts and isn't contributing in any fashion to them being up 3-1 in the series. yea bring back leighton boucher and co. and let's see where this series is.
- JoeRussomanno

I said no such thing.

Bryz may yet turn out to be one. But honestly, take the season it its entirety, can you say he plays/played like a genuine #1?

The shutout record is meaningless. Doesn't Bouch hold the NHL record for the shutout streak? Does that mean he is better than Brodeur/Roy?

No question about it. The Grossmann injury hurts, I don't have a lot of faith in basically 4 of the 6 guys who will be dressed on defense Friday night.
- PLindbergh31

I didn't either but if they throw a couple rooks in there like Gus and Manning we might be able to squeeze just enough out of them to pull out a win.

She is alive, and her eye sight wasnt effected, but she is in a lot of pain. She ripped about a dime sized hole on the side of her eyeball off. She had super-glue on her finger and wiped her eye. The glue bonded to the first few layers of eye-ball and tore it off. The layers underneath are swelled, and this happened at the worst possible time as she is in a time crunch to finish a ton a school work.

I honestly have no idea.

I don't keep track or count.

I 'm not at the game so I can't see all of the stuff that goes on away from the camera.

I'm fine with the league suspending Malkin if they feel that's appropriate.

Given what I have seen from other similar incidents, it would surprise me.

I just don't agree with the idea that we are going to go after Giroux.

- icedog97

I'm just saying, you havent heard us targeting heads on guys with past concussions or questions whether we are trying to hurt the Penguins. Except maybe the grossmann knee to knee and dumbass rinaldo last night. You guys have been much worse

I have no idea what you asked cause it wasn't a question directed to me but I just think hits like that need to be taken out of the game. doesn't matter if the ref missed it or not. a flying elbow to the head is not ok and if one was directed to Crosby, I highly doubt your attitude would be oh well.
- nastyflyergirl

Funny isnt it? The poster boys for getting rid of headshots are the biggest hippocrites in the NHL. A head shot should be a minimum 5 game suspension regardless of severity! Also get rid of the instigator rule so that guys like malkin and neal can get their ass whopping if they try that poop!

No it doesn't make him better, but what do you think this series would look like if he was starting in net? He was good for 3-4 goals against buffalo last year with Pronger playing in front of him. Against this pittsburgh team, I don't even want to think about it.,

Thanks. And same to you Joe. She will be fine. Like I said it was on the side of the eye and didn't effect her vision. Its just painful, and it was very scary last night. But she will heal.

Truly embarrassing.

Bill, what are your thoughts on Rinaldo? Not only do I feel he SHOULD be suspended, but even if he's not, to me he's now proven how dangerous it is to have him in the lineup. It just seem inevitable that he'll do something stupid.

The Flyers can't risk stupidity in game 5 ... or beyond.

- FlyerGuy

Why should he be suspended? The calls by the ref were appropriate.

Agreed. We have no better options here. That does not mean Bryz played like a true #1 goalie this year. Except in March.

Looks like he regressed after that foot injury. More likely, it is still heavily affecting him.

That 2 day break was poorly timed, IMO. If the flyers could have kept rolling maybe it would be a different story. Would have made more sense for the 2 day break to be in between game 4 and 5, but I'm guessing it was a scheduling issue that caused that 2 day break.

I hate seeing hits like that at all. they are not necessary. what Sedin did to Brown is not necessary. it amazes me that guys still do it with all the attention being made about concussions. Until the NHL delivers equal penalties to all players alike and stern penalties, things won't change. what Malkin did and what Sedin did is no different to me than what Neal did to Giroux

Maybe we don't see 'flying elbow' in the same way.

If you watch the reply...Malkin extends his right arm to try and poke check the puck...then as he gets closer to Grossman, pulls his left arm in.

I might agree if there was no puck...or if he was looking at Grossman...but it's tough to argue that Malkin isn't looking at the puck and trying to poke it past Grossman.

It was imperative for the Sixers to lose at home to Indiana on Tuesday night, in a game no one cares about.

Cross check to the back of the head a couple times, then punched the guy in the head while he was on his knees.

The penalties assested should be fine

Holy crap man!!! That's intense, I wish her the cleanest and fastest recovery possible. Man that's horrible.

I hope you understand how/why some of us took your original comments in a funny way...it's the internet and 9 times out of 10 that comment would have been meant in a joking way.

My eyeball hurts just imagining her pain.

give credit where it's do. He had a good run through november into mid december,. Also had a string of games where he only gave up more than 2 goals once or twice from late Jan to mid February. He also had to adapt to a new team and totally different style of play in front of him.

True, but those guys have far more talent than either Gustafsson or Manning, not to mention they all have 50+ games of NHL experience under their belts. Maybe the kid d-men will surprise us and play well. If MAB can play Friday I would dress him and Gustafsson and sit Kubina. He's a liability out there, I give him credit for trying to play through an injury, but he's not helping.
